No problem starting a family. Hope she’s happy. My post wasn’t about having a baby. I’d guess they’d be better off chasing her career. Obviously they can do whatever they want.

Putting a promising modeling career on hold to have a kid and move to Calgary with a guy likely making minimum wage for his non existent professional soccer career is a choice.

What a bizarre photo of Hailey that is. She’s still a very beautiful woman and that picture makes her look rather average. Also, why would they showcase that swimsuit? It looks like something I’d see at Walmart.

I get they’re selling a product but pictures without her face are a travesty.

She is on an absolute heater right now.

What are the chances there are a large quantity of pictures from this set? Like you gotta give them all to us.

My question at this point is whether MJ should do the honorable thing and step down as editor. And no I don’t mean because she’s turned the magazine into hot garbage. But shouldn’t she look in the mirror and ask herself if she is truly the right person to lead SI swim into the light given the fact that she was in charge during all those years perpetuating the “unhealthy beauty standard” she now so desperately is running away from? I mean, Ed Razek had to step down from VS. It just seems odd that the same person who gave us years and years of disgustingly attractive women gracing the pages of SI is now the one who will tell us all what the new beauty standard is.

In what world would someone think it’s a good idea to put Josephine skriver in si swim and not have her in a bikini?

SI swim is really funny to me. They don’t seem to care about selling magazines anymore. This is just an outlet for MJ to make some social commentary regardless of sales. Considering SI has had incredible turmoil in the last year or so as a company I’m kind of surprised they continue down this road.

I’ll play devils advocate to the idea that countries won’t make exceptions for SI to enter during the pandemic. Tourism has been hit big time and a lot of the islands and beach places SI has historically shot at will really need all the publicity they can get to draw attention once people feel safer traveling. I would not be surprised either way if they were restricted or not.

maybe it’s just COVID but it feels like we are getting less and less of these types of photos from jo’s social media. I mean that last picture and third to last are drool worthy.

Why even have traditional models at this point? Why not just have a lottery and whatever random 30 women get drawn out of a hat get to be in the magazine?

I am not disagreeing with you. I’d just like to point out that this makes no sense as a business strategy. SI is a magazine for men. And while I know there are women who love sports enough to consume SI content, the fact is men are the overwhelming demographic they serve. And there is no brand without SI in front of swimsuit. And there is no SI without men. Trying to sell SI to women is a fools errand.

I had no idea she was trans until I came to this board. I saw her picture on instagram (I hardly ever read captions especially from si’s account) and I thought she looked hot. On first glance I thought it seemed like a terrific choice and she would fit in with the older issues. As a straight guy her being transgender doesn’t change my opinion. It only makes me ask uncomfortable questions with myself that I have no idea what the right answers are.

I don’t know if this would bad news or good news for you but I would suspect that if tptb don’t like the results from this crew then they’ll just scrap the whole thing and and it will go the way of the vsfs
