ninanina19 Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 I agree with you^^^. Anyway, Djokovic and Gasquet are playing in the final of the Estoril open right now. Djokovic won the first set 7-6 but Gasquet is leading 3-0 in the second. Quote
Chaky Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 This is a crazy match. Now Novak's 3-0 up in the third. Quote

ninanina19 Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 This is a crazy match. Now Novak's 3-0 up in the third. It was. I think it's mostly because of the conditions. It was really windy. I hate playing in the wind. Quote

ninanina19 Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Who do you guys think will win in the Nadal-Djokovic quarter? That's a strong quarter. I hope Djokovic beats Nadal on clay. That will give him even more credibility as a player. Also if he does make it to the semis, he'll surpass Davydenko as #4 giving him a higher seed for the French. Quote
Chaky Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 This is a crazy match. Now Novak's 3-0 up in the third. It was. I think it's mostly because of the conditions. It was really windy. I hate playing in the wind. Me too. I played in crazy wind a few weeks ago. It was blowing straight from one end of the court to the other so each time you swapped sides you had to completely change your swing. It was actually so strong that it was blowing loose balls around the court. But being in the UK you have to deal with it and take your opportunities to play when you can. I've actually played in quite heavy rain a couple of times this year too. So Nina, are you any good? Who do you guys think will win in the Nadal-Djokovic quarter? That's a strong quarter. I hope Djokovic beats Nadal on clay. That will give him even more credibility as a player. Also if he does make it to the semis, he'll surpass Davydenko as #4 giving him a higher seed for the French. You're optimistic! I think the next person to beat Nadal on clay will be Federer. Or at least I'd like it to be. Novak's got a good chance of meeting Nadal in quarters but he won't beat him. Quote

ninanina19 Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I'm not really any good. I will be by the end of the summer. I'm going to a couple good places for training. I don't dislike Rafa I just like Novak better. My parents and I all root for him. I also like Jelena Jankovic, I hope she does well in the French. Quote
ninanina19 Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I feel bad for Roger, he must have an enormous amount of pressure on him right now. I really hope he beats Rafa at the French or that at least someone beats Rafa (I can't imagine who else would really have a chance on clay). I just want to actually look forward to a grand slam final and not know who will win. Quote
ninanina19 Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Andy Roddick is through to the 3rd round defeating Gaston Gaudio 6-1, 7-6.Also there will be a Fjokovic-Baghdatis showdown. I hate how it takes them forever to update the draw. You have to look through all the results and do it in your head. Quote

Chaky Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 The draw on the tournament website seems to get updated faster than the one on the ATP site.3rd round draw:[1] Federer vs Volandri[12] Berdych vs Acasuso[3] Roddick vs ChelaMassu vs [6] Gonzalez[7] Robredo vs SimonStarace vs [4] Davydenko[5] Djokovic vs Baghdatis[15] Youzhny vs [2] NadalNadal against Youzhny could be interesting. Misha has defeated Rafa the last two times they played. However, neither of those was on clay. I'd be surprised if it happened here but you never know. Quote

Maybe later this year.Jankovic is not one of my faves but I think she will do well at Roland Garros. I actually met her at a tournament last year. She seems really nice off court: she has a good sense of humour and is very friendly to the fans. Quote
Dajana Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I dont feel bad for Federer at all. I want Rafa to win Roland Garros to prove Federer that he cannot win all Grand Slams and that he is better than him (at least on clay). Quote
