blurdk Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 go there early iris hopefully you'll meet her this time <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You mean, go early enough to kick the asses of stupid protesters? That's some task! Quote
I LOVE ADRIANA Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 yeah... if the protest... omg... i'd so want to hit them lol Quote
Iris Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 well last time I got there 2 hours early and the protesters showed up about an hour after me and they got it cancelled I don't think getting there early has anything to do with anything. <_< I'm hoping they won't know about this one because it hasn't been publicized as much All I really want is to be able to say "You've been my favorite model for years and I'm a big fan of all your work and endeavours." I'm not going to say I wouldn't be happy to get Adriana's autograph and maybe a picture of her though Quote
Neo52285 Posted May 7, 2005 Author Posted May 7, 2005 just dont do like me....14 hours of waiting....well standing. Quote
LostinLove Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 I would love to go, I can't wait to see the pictures from it as well. To me unlike most other Victoria Secret models, seems to be really in love with her fans and appericates them. Quote
Pyrrho Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 yeah... if the protest... omg... i'd so want to hit them lol<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I didn't know about the protesters... I'm puzzled...What protesters? What are they protesting about? Do people regularly protest at these events? Quote
mameha Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Weren't they claiming that Victoria's Secret objectified women? Sexist etc etc...maybe I'm not remembering correctly...but it was something petty and stupid like that Quote

I don't know there are alot of people who have different feelings about it, but it's not stopping people from going out there and spending money on any of the lingerie hmm? Lol Quote
holla Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 I think it was due to them cutting down some trees when they were filming a commercial, "Dream Angel" with Gisele Bundchen. I don't remember if that's what it's exactly for though. Quote
blurdk Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Really? I thought it was the trees used for their catalogs?Whatever it was, way to give tree huggers a bad name... Quote
mameha Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Oh yeah...that was it. I'd understand if Heidi and Gisele were the ones out chopping them down but big eye roll there. Quote
Capt Snow Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Doesn't sound like they did their job too well if none of us can remember exactly why they were protesting in the first place Quote
Sweetpea Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 It was for victoria's secret degrading women, having all of the girls wearing half to nothing, and a group of protesting women said it was offensive, and it was turning lingerie which was suppose to be something you wear under your clothes into soft core porn. You'd think they'd be celebrating the fact that some VS models have become very successful and very rich and that they all seem happy with their own sexuality (and sexual power). Quote
Sweetpea Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 I don't know some people are just unappreciative, first they want women to show off their bodies, now they are telling them to keep them covered, it's kind of redundant. Quote
