There was a me, myself and I , threesome which was a funny thought, but a pic I wasn't going to post. Not a fan of the nude do yourself pics , that's a little beyond me. Quote

But this SELF-LOVE - so to speak - is nothing new. It's all very Narcissus, no? All is vanity... It's just a 21st century, computer-savvy method of, well, investigation... Photo-shopping is often the BANE of the truly bizarre - but those photos are certainly intriguing, so here's another: This whole theme reminded me of this UNFORTUNATE story: TWINS who unwittingly got married after they were separated at birth were victims of a quirk of fate “cruel beyond belief,” it emerged last night. The smitten brother and sister — adopted by different families — discovered the shattering truth only after tying the knot. Against all odds they had met and fallen for each other — neither even knowing they had a twin. The horrified British couple faced the heartbreak of seeking to have their marriage annulled in the High Court after eventually finding out their love was forbidden. A judge was forced to rule the union was NEVER valid in law. Last night the peer who uncovered the astonishing case told The Sun of the twins’ “trauma”. Lord Alton of Liverpool said: “Anyone hearing this story would feel heartbroken for them. Trauma “It’s cruel beyond belief to discover that someone you’re in love with is so closely related to you.” The twins were not named — but it is known they were separated soon after birth. Each was adopted by different parents — who never told them they had a twin. It was not clear HOW they eventually discovered they were brother and sister. Experts said they would have been naturally attracted to each other — because they were so alike. Biological psychologist Dr George Fieldman said: “Their mannerisms — and even their odour — would remind them of themselves.” Psychotherapist Audrey Sandbank, a consultant for the Twins and Multiple Births Association, said: “These twins were together until they were born and may have had a strong connection in the womb. “When they met they would have felt like soul mates — particularly as like all siblings they shared approximately 50 per cent of their genes.” (source: The Sun newspaper, January 12th 2008) WHOAH!!! That would truly screw you up. I remember reading that Bianca Jagger said that Mick had only married her because she "looked like him", and as those psychologists above say - we are attracted to our own traits... But that is taking it to the Nth degree! All said though, I'm not sure about these guys: Quote
azgirl Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Trust me Ophelia I am far from prude it nature. It's just odd to me. I think because I wouldn't want to see myself with myself. :yuckky: I found the Twin story to be sad... Can you imagine how perfect their love must have seemed? That just sounds heart breaking. The story raises curiosity in me.... can you imagine how many relatives married each other before the had DNA tests? Quote
irenistiQ Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 i thinQ it happened to german bro and sis too! :| Quote
M--- Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 sad I think they like to use that storyline in daily soaps... But anyway i have a picture I thought is so weird it only fits here. It's so ugly Quote
