which is your favorite book from the saga guys? :p

The first, obviously. I read it before it was tainted by the hype.

Also, I don't like Jake's character that much. Sure, you got all the psychiatrists jumping up and down about what a bad influence Bella is to young girls and how Edward's behavior is supposedly a red flag for an abusive relationship (I take it all these goofballs are still without wives and such. Seriously, worry about that kid with Schizophrenia, instead of analyzing a YA book to death. Before we know it, we've got a new terrorist organization called Meyerpires, who consume people's blood in the name of Edward.... ) So yeah, the first is the best. Bella got a bit too whacked in New Moon, so it was hard to understand why Wolf Boy was so into her. Also, there werewolf thing has been done many times before and better. Just read "Bitten" by Kelly Armstrong and you'll understand. Eclipse was a bit better, though Edward proceeded to act like an overprotective parent in the first half of the book. The "ultimate battle" disappointed me too.

Breaking Dawn...well let's say that the chemistry between Dazzle Sparkle and Perfect Dull Girl wore thin....

C'mon! I liked the movie SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!

Hey, that's fine. I actually enjoyed myself as well. It's just that the Cullens left a whole trail of babypowder behind them and the baddies were just....bad. No matter how much I liked James' six pack.

lol  you can criticize so good...baby powder

new moon is better than eclipse  but none of them had enough action-I mean she had so much material to write them-laurent,victoria and I liked the volturi idea-so many bad/"good" vampires :pinch:

they're so long I thought the were going to get better and better...but I won't complain I still enjoyed reading them-the story is nice

but the thing that you say about jacob how he liked bella when she was down-I wasn't surprised I mean he always like bella more than a friend and than edward left and he had the great opportunity to comfort bella and try to be more with her than a friend :p

i still have to read breaking dawn...but I know I'll be propably disapointed :/ twilight was the best

but stephenie has something that reminds me to j.k rowling-I mean I always thought while reading the harry potters that I would read them even if there was no voldemort(the bad guy  ) or action at all.... I would read the books even if there was described only everyday stuff, because the descriptions are so great

and yeah james was  I kinda felt bad that he died in the book

I think we can safely assume that pretty much everyone who has seen the movie has read the book (except for boyfriends who were dragged along at gunpoint by their girlfriends) ;)

Yeah, the movie stripped a lot of the 'magic' out of the book. I guess it's because everyone has their own interpretation of the characters and though Pattison does an okay job, he isn't everyone's cup of tea. There wasn't much room for improvising and I think that if they'd allowed Edward's character to have a bit more personality, it would make it easier for a lot of people to see why Bella went head over heels.

Also, I don't know what to make of Kristen Stewart. Alledgedly she didn't want to host the Oscars with Pattison. Reason, she'd do that when the movies were good and not just block busters. I don't know if she was talking about Twilight or the actual oscar nominees, but remains a weird thing to say.

Ah well, both the book and the movie had flaws, but they were entertaining. I'm curious to see how they'll grapple with that second novel, new moon. I think it was quite a drag to read through, with Bella wallowing in self pity and getting suicidal tendencies and all that. I can see it now: moms shouting about the unhealthy image Bella is projecting. The media circus will start allover again *sigh*

In the mean time, I found this fan made poster. Quite fitting if you ask me.

wow I love the poster

I'm courious to see how the movie turns out too :p

And bella doesn't attempt to make suicide  she's devastaded and wants to hear edwards voice-what's so bad about that? :p

I liked how stephenie put bella's pain that way and ophelia thinks that way too :p I bet it was very hard to write something so good that she probably never experienced

Yeah I know Bella says she didn't try to kill herself, but is someone who just threw herself of a cliff in any good position to judge that? ;) Even if she wasn't bent on ending her life, she sure as hell was tempting fate to do it for her. Like, "I attract bad luck. I wonder what would happen if I speed off on a motorcycle without having any experience?" Just sayin'

You know, there are rumors that Stephanie Meyer was projecting herself when she was writing Bella. The dark eyes, the brown hair...the facial description resembles what she looks like. Bella is clumsy as hell, but who knows, Meyer might be as well. And Bella has a thing for old romance stories like Romeo and Juliet, which is exactly what Meyer likes. (if I remember correctly, you can find stuff of it back in the books)

When the entire media circus was going on and we were all bombarded with Twilight news, I can recall her saying she knew what it was like to be the new girl and not fitting in. A lot of authors put something of themselves into characters, so it's not a stretch to say that maybe she had been terribly heartbroken over a fling once and used that in the book (in a much more exaggerated way ;) )

Lol, look at me speculating. I should get a life *goes off to work on that boring report I have to finish by the end of the week*

no I love your critics really

you're probably right :p She wanted fate to end her life-but when she jumped of the cliff she wasn't intending to and she didn't start giving up till she saw that there was no hope she could survive (I wonder how this part will turn out :ninja: Kirsten will be all weet  )

Yeah I realised that too-stephenie kinda gave something from her to bella-especially taste in books

As you said-most of the authers do :p

I bought 'Twilight' on blu-ray this morning and I don't care what anyone says. I still like the movie. lol :p

I bought it today too  I just wish Cathrine Hardwick would shut the hell up through the deleted and extended scenes.
