k_dub Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Game 7 for are the marvels, tomorrow night Celtics need to have a 100% effort game, or it's Lakers 2 years in a row. no Kendrick either. Both teams are gonna give it all they got to win this game. True, the Celtics don't have Kendrick, and unfortunately that will be the reason why behind why the the series went the Lakers' way should they win tonight. <_< Forget about the fact that Bynum has been mostly a non-factor in this series save for the 1st game. Anyway, may the best team win, and hopefully it will be MY LAKERS!!! Quote
k_dub Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 YESSSSS!!! LAKERS WON TITLE NUMBER 16!!! :hell yea!: (Y) Quote
MattLoveModels Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 17-16 All time now to the Celtics in championships. If Phil comes back next year, I see no reason why they shouldn't tie it up. Anyway, Adam Morrison now has 2 rings.... Quote
SympathysSilhouette Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 They survived a 6 for 24 shooting night by Kobe Bryant!!! Quote
k_dub Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 They survived a 6 for 24 shooting night by Kobe Bryant!!! It wasn't pretty, that's for sure. In the 1st half, whether on the field or on the free-throw line, the Lakers were throwing up enough bricks to build A MANSION!!! :| :x And then, falling behind by 13 points . . . Thank god the Lakers have a knack for the dramatics. They were able to come back, and when Artest and Fisher hit them 3's, it was all good. A perfect HOLLYWOOD ENDING!!! :hell yea!: Hopefully, Phil comes back for at least one more year. After all, he always 3-peats when it come to winning championships. Best case scenario: NBA Finals 2011, Lakers vs. Cavs, aka Kobe vs. Lebron. Quote
MattLoveModels Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 if LeBron is still a Cav, which he probably will be. Never know though. Quote
MattLoveModels Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Amare to NY, Boozer to Chicago, Bosh to Miami. and then there's LeBron, with his hour long "special" tomorrow night with his decision of where he's going (or staying) Quote
Limerlight Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Lebron is just taking the most he can out of this.I'd laugh if he says he retires, just for kicks. Quote
eNe Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 "Lebron James is planning to announce the team with which he will sign during a one-hour special on ESPN Thursday night, ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard has learned through independent sources." OK, let me get this straight. ESPN.com is reporting that ESPN the Mag reporter has learned that there will be a one-hour special on ESPN???? that's some damn fine reporting! :blueeyedbaby: Seriously though, ESPN is sad,. . . and so is LeBron. I mean he has taken attention whoring to a whole new level. I follow a couple of bball forums, and most of the Cavs fans (especially pre-LeBron ones) claim that they have lost a lot of respect on him even if he stays a Cavalier (IMO deservedly so). And just so everyone knows, I won't be watching. I know he'll go to the Knicks (knew it more than 2 years ago), and for a whole hour, he will most likely be telling how Cleveland will always be in his heart, how he will always be the Akron boy, usual bs. . . classy Quote
MattLoveModels Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 oh LeBron there goes your "best player ever" potential status. you'll get a few championships this way though. have fun partying down in South Beach with your draft day/olympian buddies. Quote
AnaBBarrosFan Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I don't even like basketball but I'm from Miami and apparently keeping Wade, having Lebron, and that other guy makes me happy.Miami > Everywhere Else For every Reason Known To Man Quote
MattLoveModels Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 yea now when they win a championship you can party with that crazy parade. Quote
AnaBBarrosFan Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 yea now when they win a championship you can party with that crazy parade. No I won't, cause I hate basketball and couldn't care less. Quote
eNe Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Oh my!!!! What happened?!! :| :| :| :| Miami > Everywhere Else For every Reason Known To Man Not from a basketball point of view, especially not for LeBron. Quoting an NBA analyst, Bill Simmons: "LeBron had a chance to go to Chicago *RINGS*, stay in Cleveland *Loyalty*, or play at MSG *Immortality*. Can't believe he chose HELP!!!" They (Bron & Wade) will kill each others overall effectiveness, and won't have much of a shot to win an MVP award unless they have a super regular season record (which they won't). Plus it takes much more to win a title. If they wanted to join forces, they should have had done this in Chicago, where they already had a supporting cast ready to win big, not Miami. Come to think about it, I hope D-Wade signs with Chicago. That would be awesome. Quote

Come to think about it, I hope D-Wade signs with Chicago. That would be awesome. Whatever. I think it's cool cause apparently we have some guy that's really good, and Wade, and now LaBron... Like I said before, I don't like basketball at all, and so all this 'drama' doesn't affect me personally. On the local news they were showing all the heartbroken Lebron fans from wherever he is, and something struck me, some guy through tears said: "And he goes to Miami? Where the most fickle fans are?!" And sadly, I found that hilariously true. When it comes to sports, Miami only gives a shit about them when someone interesting happens. We are a bandwagon city. Oh the Dolphin are in the wildcard? MUST CARE!11one11! The Marlins are in the finals? MUST CARE!!!!111!!!one11!!! The Heat have Lebron and the other guy? MUST CARE!!!!!!!!!ELEVEN111!! It's funny. The place who could (as a whole) care less about this shit, gets some crazy holy trifecta. It's not to say there aren't any real fans, but honestly... have you seen our stadiums when our teams play? They're mostly empty and seats are cheaper than the beers sold there. Now with Leborn here, all the season tickets have sold out, and suddenly everyone is gonna start wearing Lebron jerseys... And when this crap doesn't work out and/or we start loosing or something... People are gonna go back to not caring. I view this as some sick joke in favor of Miami. Quote
k_dub Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Was I the only one who saw this coming?! I knew LeBron was going to Miami, I KNEW IT!!! I was talking to my dad on the phone when it happened, and I knew I was gonna be right. He didn't wanna go to either the Knicks or New Jersey. Seriously, who wants to be on a rebuilding team?! :x I'm not sure if Cleveland was ever gonna build a good enough supporting cast for LeBron to ever win a championship there. Chicago would have been a good fit, but he wants to win a Championship SOONER THAN LATER!!! Therefore, it makes sense that he joined D-Wade and Chris Bosh down there in South Beach. Hey, it worked for the Celtics, didn't it? However, I ain't exactly anointing the Miami Heat as next year's NBA champions. Celtics are old, but they will still be somewhat competitive. Orlando is gonna be tough as well. And let's not forget, the LAKERS!!! We are still the champions, and trust me, we will be ready for Miami. While the Heat are trying to get the the Finals and win a championship, Lakers have been there and done that. Phil Jackson is back in effect for another chapter, and he always wins in 3's. We already know what are role players are capable of. That NBA analyst Bill Simmons is a idiot. <_< For thing Chicago hasn't been close to a ring since Michael Jordan left, and that was like in '98. Loyalty wins you respect, but it don't win you championships. And so what if you play at MSG? Yeah, be immortal like Patrick Ewing and so many other Knick players who have NEVER WON A CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Quote
AnaBBarrosFan Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Miami doesn't equal South Beach. Just saying. Quote

FashionDream Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 whoaaaa the Heat are going to dominate big time!! They have 3 all star players in Wade, Bosh and Lebron.... for some reason this just doesn't seem fair for the other teams lol. Lebron better watch it when he goes back to Cleveland for games...YIKES. Got to be tough for someone who was loved so much and now hated. People are burning his jersey in Cleveland.. ouch.. I Lebron though Quote
