2324lebron Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Not as nice as Vince Carter over 7'2 Frederic Weis during the 2000 Olympics The French media dubbed the slam "le dunk de la mort": "the dunk of death." Or Blake Griffin throwing it in on Timofey Mozgov and Kendrick Perkins Quote
Joe > Average Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Yeah, the Olympic one is definitely a good one . On the flip side, one has to admire the courage to attempt a lat contest even when you know the cause is lost I suppose. In general, as to the heights, its worth mentioning that how high you actually jump is how high you jumped regardless of how tall the person was. The dynamics of jumping with a split are also different from jumping putting your feet over the obstacle as well. Quote
SympathysSilhouette Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 The Timberwolves have been fantastic so far. Pekovic-Love is a great frontcourt, Ricky Rubio is Ricky Rubio and Kevin Martin gives them a very reliable backcourt scorer (which somewhat makes up for Rubio's Achilles heel). They probably lack the pure quality for a real title run, but they should at least aim to survive one round of the play-offs. Of course, one of Love & Rubio will once again get injured and make the above look foolish. Quote
Stormbringer Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 The Pacers seems unstoppable right now! There were no games aired over here last night, but I'd loved to watch this: Quote
Stormbringer Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Edit: posted again. The original was taken down. Quote
SympathysSilhouette Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 There are few things in sports more beautiful to watch than San Antonio in full flow.I don't understand the people who deem them boring. I'd much rather watch intricate ball movement than iso-basketball. Quote
Joe > Average Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Dunks and crossovers are just easier to market to the casual fan much like fantasy football . There will always be the purists who love their game and even some casual fans can appreciate it. I was made fun of for my Duncan fandom as a lad, so its good to see the old gang still kicking . Stormbringer Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 GO SPURS!!! Edit: 5th title for the Spurs!! Amazing performance throughout the whole finals. Great team work above all else, that's some beautiful basketball to watch. Awesome final series!! Quote
JamesSmith Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Team > Individuals LeBron couldn't carry them all the way this time. Props to the Spurs, well played. Quote
SympathysSilhouette Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 LeBron going back to Cleveland! I guess all those front-running models who support the Heat will be sad... for two minutes. Quote
2324lebron Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Horrible accident in Team USA scrimmage Paul George breaks his leg... - Team USA - Blue vs White 2014 graphic Quote
Stormbringer Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 So Kobe is just 9 points away from passing Jordan as the 3rd all time scorer... (But the Lakers still have an awful record this season) Edit: Just passed Michael Jordan. Quote
MattLoveModels Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Wow there has been no activity in this thread since the Warriors dominance started, coincidence? Probably but maybe not. Also my Sixers are ranked their highest in 16 or so years so you could say I'm pretty ecstatic. We have the most exciting young team in the league if you ask me (although biased). Quote
