Sanni Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Sometimes beauty can be a hindrance for an actress? Watched parts of a movie titled Bringing Up Bobby (2012) while doing the dishes. Milla Jovovich plays a con-artist and a mother who ends up in prison and struggles to get her life in order so that she could care for her son again. She even ends up sleeping in a homeless shelter. A woman that beautiful can’t have better options? She was clearly charming enough to con people so one would think that she’d be able to get a rich man instead of hanging out with a loser bum who wasn’t even her real boyfriend. Ok, maybe she wanted to make it on her own but surely someone as beautiful as her could have opportunities for a normal life even with a criminal record. Quote

17 Moments of Spring Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Imo it's understandable that some actresses are considered too pretty for some roles. Few junkie is like Gia (tho there were exceptions: Meg as an alcoholic, or Charlize as the Monster). K-9 (1989) Quote

Limerlight Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 The Raven (1935) The Walking Dead (1936) Cannibal Holocaust (Some parts were bad, but not as bad as A Serbian Film which I had to stop 3 times from watching it, never had to stop with this one. Can see why it was banned in some places) The Wolf Man (1941) Ida (Polish film with English Subs) Irreversible (see below) Spoiler The rape scene about half way through the movie is fairly unnerving, not the worst ever that I've seen but regardless, I imagine it would make a woman far more uncomfortable than it made me, kicking her & beating her after it was over was over the top.... and really just one of those get you in the feels moments you hope it is fucking over and don't wanna see again Same with beating the gay with a fire extinguisher that was an O.o moment for me Quote
