wow. i'm just completely and utterly astonished at how VASTLY different today's male model ideal is from the 1990s. it's truly uncanny. obviously, the women's is the same. but i guess i always just presumed that men remained a constant.

check out any man posted in this thread, and then look at the boys that are filling the runways ... or getting the print work ... and it's truly an extraordinary difference.

i SO MUCH prefer the healthy, athletic look of the 1990s. look at Tyson. dear lord. what a MAN! he is one of the VERY few male models who actually deserves the title "Supermodel". and if he were to come into the business today?! he'd never even get a booking. maybe for some athletic catalogue work or something. absolutely no runway or editorial work. it's insane.

the only model who's out right now who resembles these GODS of the past is David Gandy.

Bruce Hulse, probably the greatest male model of all time, he's still working.

Todd Irving was a GQ model through out the 80's and was one of the male models featured in Charles Bush book called Male Model. Does anyone have any info or pics of him? Thanks
