Fashion Week Confidential With Constance Jablonski

Earlier this week, Modelinia had the chance to catch up with French model Constance Jablonski at the WSJ Magazine 5th anniversary bash. While hearing about her fashion week thus far—the model has been busy making appearances everywhere from Carine Roitfeld’s “Mademoiselle C” premiere, to the “Peter Lindberg” exhibit opening hosted by Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld— Constance also let us in on a few of her favorite fall fashion picks, including the “it-bag” she’ll be carrying well into next season. What are a few beauty products you can’t live without during Fashion Week?

I have two beauty products that I like to have with me. One is a really good moisturizer, because I have tend to have dry skin. I use the DayWear Advanced Cream by Estee Lauder— it’s my favorite! Also, my biggest secret is that I use Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum before bed. It’s really the best serum ever! It makes your pores very smooth, and gives you this unbelievable glow.

Is there anything on your fall fashion wish list?

There are many things! It’s hard too, because the more shows I go to, the more clothes I’m going to see and the bigger my list gets. I actually went to Isabel Marant yesterday, and there was this pair of shoes there that I think I’m going to go back and get.

What is your “it-bag” this season?

I actually just got a Nina Ricci bag, which I love. It’s quite big, so it’s perfect for travel because you can fit your iPad and all of that in it. It’s beige and bronze, so it’s also perfect for spring and summer, as well as fall. It’s the perfect transitional bag!

If you could switch closets with anyone, who would you chose?

It’s an easy answer: definitely Kate Moss! She has one of the best styles on Earth, having come from that time when models were really close with designers and got so many amazing things. She must have the wardrobe pieces ever.

What was the first designer item you bought with your own money?

I remember, I was actually in high school and I wanted this leather jacket from Dolce & Gabanna so bad. It was a very simple black leather jacket, but it was so nice. I saved my money one summer and I bought it for myself.

Finally, do you have any hidden talents?

You’ll have to ask my family if I have any special talents. I am however, pretty good at ping pong— I can beat anyone!
