aparently when Ale asked "where's the champagne" ... the editing crew already drank all of it

and while you mentioned Adriana's entrance backstage. Was it just me, or did one of the stage hands rub her belly? What is she ... a crocodile you're trying to put to sleep?

@Joe: Hmm, now THAT picture makes that whole Finale thing a goof. Not technically an editing goof, but a goof. Makes the show look flawless, doesn't it?

Here, did anyone see this goof? This one is 100% an editing goof! Check it out....Mind you, this all takes place in a matter of seconds, so I'm guessing that a lot of the footage is intentionally just out of order.

FINALE

--Doutzen Kroes--

Notice that Doutzen is standing on the right side just getting out of her Black Tie Holiday outfit

A few cuts later, Doutzen is seen running backstage still in her Black Tie Holiday outfit

A few cuts after THAT, Doutzen is backstage already in her pink robes

"Flawless" my ass. :p

BTW, in case you are wondering, the whole drill instructor segment of Pink Planet was one giant goof. I'm sure EVERYONE noticed all the goofs in that one, so I don't really need to point them out. There's also a bunch of minor edits that look like goofs but I can't really tell.

For example, in the "Black Tie Holiday" segment, watch Selita's hands. Between shots, her hands alternate between her hips and then straight down various times. Also, at the beginning of the "Dangerous" segment, Jorge is seen entering the stage twice. These aren't goofs that are too big to point out, but they're there.

It's overload. They should never have Ale and Adri on at the same time. No mere mortal can handle it.

BTW, didn't Heidi say Seal wasn't gonna be there and she was going with her mom. But then I see Seal in the audience. I mean I'm glad Seal was there, but can someone keep their story straight. Unless he surprised her.

@Pink: I wasn't talking about Alessandra or Adriana. I was talking about Usher's little hat. Since Alessandra was the second girl in the line-up, it would be weird that Usher already has his hat off (because Heidi was the one to take it later in the segment). And remember, Izabel had different shoes on, which means somehow Usher got the hat back from somebody.

AAHH!!! I'm confusing myself.

In one show I think I remember Heidi walking off with Usher's hat. And what does Iza's shoe change have to do with Usher's hat loss and...OMG I've gone crosseyed. I'm freaking out. :chicken:

Good night everyone.. I need sleep before I go even more crazy

^ Actually is not really a goof b/c during one of the tapings, when Adriana walked past Usher she took his hat. When she walked back, she gave him his hat back. So technically he shouldn't be wearing a hat when Ale initially walked b/c Adriana still had it at the time. This explains the Extra clip :)

Yup, I guess that explains it more.

Yeah, there are different versions. And to put down the rumor here. THERE WAS NO IZA BODY DOUBLE.

They wear different versions f the same outfit.

Here's proof:

There are inconsistancies with editing, but as far as the differences. The girls are encouraged to do different thigs for each and not make it a carbon copy. Here's another difference: Ale in the first finale didn't have the cape, but she did in the second. Also the fireworks were only shot during the second taping (but that's understandable)

Just curious, but are these "goofs" being pointed out as mistakes? If they are, I might have to throw out accusations of naivete on the profession of editing. :ninja:

Some are goofs (ex: Ballet Miranda turning into Goddess Miranda) but others are just ways of seeing the differences between tappings (ex: models walking on alternating sides of each other). Some are minor continuity errors and others are continuity error explosions.

It's a bit of both. But let me be absolutely clear that that actual show itself is NOT a goof or mistake. Everything went according to plan and without a hitch. It just so happens that the show's editor(s) aren't as nifty and sly as they think they are. Continuity Errors, Visual miscues, Unsynchonized audio, and editing goofs are everywhere in this show and we have the right to protest and demand an UNCUT version.

If the Raspberry Awards could nominate an award for "Worst Edited TV Show of 2008", it would be the VSFS 2008. To the naked eye, it doesn't look like there's anything wrong. You came for a flesh party and that's what you got. But to the nitpicking eye, its just a goof nightmare. We've probably pointed out about 65% of the goofs not including little tidbits here and there.

Watch the show again. Beautiful women against a badly edited backdrop. A two-for-one deal.

I'm curious...we should also look at prior 2005 shows like 2003. I have a feeling there were some mess ups there to. But actual mess ups, like didn't Fernanda get caught in the mesh backstage

I would have to disagree: the main goal of 99% of professional editing is invisibility (there's even a film-industry saying that the worst editing is the editing you notice), and if, of the 8.7 million people who watched the show, only a handful on this forum can point a few things out after numerous viewings, then the editors did exactly what they set out to do, and should probably be applauded for successfully putting together a show that's naturally going to be a continuity nightmare by no fault of theirs. Can you hate the style of the editing? Sure - I certainly did. But if between two takes edited together, a model isn't in the exact same spot relative to another model at a given moment during a song, the editor is the last person to blame and the first person to congratulate if only a few viewers notice the inconsistency.
