JoeKnight Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 ^ Actually, I didn't get it yet. Now ... ready for a tender heartwarming moment. I get the guide for the artwork and comments. I don't use it for the walkthrough. I use your guides. Quote
VampireHorde Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 UPDATE: Alrighty, I just finished the game and I have to say that it left me a bit...disappointed story-wise. There was so much build-up leading to this final chapter and everything that accumulated from GOW1 and GOW2 practically got thrown away!If you haven't completed the game, then ignore this part [SPOILERS!!!]--------These are parts of the story that really pissed me off:--Gaia betrays Kratos! She spent the last two games assisting him only to betray him early in the game! WTF???--What happened to the other Titans? There were a whole bunch of them climbing Mt. Olympus and then you never see them again after Kratos emerges from the Underworld!--The whole Pandora storyline towards the end of the game was an absolute waste! You spend the last half of the game looking for this muther'effing Pandora girl and then when Kratos opens Pandora's Box, there's NOTHING INSIDE! Just like in the first game, Pandora's Box is a piece o' shit! EFF Pandora! --I find it a bit out of place that the Sex mini-game with Aphrodite is placed towards the end of the game. In GOW1 and GOW2, the sex mini-game was usually at the beginning of the game.I also wasn't too crazy about Kratos' ending. He kills off Zeus and then sacrifices himself, to which Athena ends the game saying "You disappoint me, Spartan" and then End Credits. What the EFF?!!? What kinda anti-climactic patch of piss is this? I waited five years for THIS ending? EFF this story! And explain to me that last scene! Kratos still alive? But in terms of gameplay, I enjoyed the hell out of it. The puzzles were WAY too easy to solve (unlike GOW2) and the enemy battles are just too fun especially since there is an attack I love to spam called the Grapple attack. You can defeat every boss and enemy by simply spamming the Grapple move! All in all, I prefer God Of War 2, but at least GOW3 had a crappy ending. Quote
JoeKnight Posted March 23, 2010 Author Posted March 23, 2010 ^ THANK YOU. AGAIN SPOILERS!!!!! - - - - - - they said it'll be like 10 years before they pick up the series again. So i have to wait that long to see if Kratos really is still alive. WTF? And why why why did Athena go all selfish. WHY? I like her. and does it seem like gods got easier and easier to kill. Ares - entire game. Athena - okay, you had the freaking blade. Poseiden - awesomeness. Hades - creepy as hell, oh wait that's where he lives. YADA YADA Hera - lightly break her neck Oh ... and ps ... Aphrodite is still alive. Score. AND ... as far as loose ends ... What about Morpheus. In chains of olympus he was mentioned and he hasn't been killed yet. Or Artemis mentioned in the first. ERGO ... What's left: - wandering spirit who you thought was cool, but isn't - the sexy goddess of sex and love - a creepy sleep guy with nightmares and fog - a huntress with a thing for big blades. Quote
VampireHorde Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 :yuckky: Yeah, the ending of the game can go EFF itself. There was so much build-up to the final chapter and for them to add the whole Pandora storyline was a big EFF YOU to the fans of the series. All of a sudden, Kratos cares for someone else other than himself? BULLSHIT! I didn't believe it for a second. To me the biggest storyline goof was the whole Titan betrayal thing. You spent all of GoW2 being aided by Gaia only for her to "have no choice" in the third game? WTF!! And the whole Athena "You disappoint me, Spartan" line at the end just made me mad. "That was meant for me!" EFF YOU, Athena!!! The Hades battle was quite awesome. I only partially enjoyed the Hermes sequence and was it really necessary to introduce Hercules this late into the whole trilogy? As for Aphrodite, who knew she was such a VS model? To be honest, the real reason I was so disappointed with the GoW3 story was because I didn't feel that Kratos got any real retribution for everything he did in all three games. I wanted a nice Final Fantasy X ending with Kratos and his family and his nightmares finally coming to an end, but NO. Instead, he just kills himself with the Blade of Olympus. Oh, BTW, all three of my God Of War guides have been turned into IPhone Apps! There was a guy that contacted me about it and now you can find my guides under "God Of War 3 Trophies" (under XCool Apps) in the Apps store. I feel honored. Quote
