Knowing how big of a Genevieve fan @jj3 is, and being aware he has conversed with her on social media (it's out there on twitter if you care to dig into it), I give him the benefit of the doubt unless something comes up that suggests that the Genevieve that posted on here is not, in fact, Genevieve

For everyone who continue to think that the all previous messages was not from Genevieve, I invite everyone to go on her facebook page and see her last video.

I'm very sad and disappointed for her, as I said in my previous message I don't like ANY models nude or not calendar, but I don't judge her for this WORK, because this is her WORK, and this is not a porn nude this is nude art and there is a lot of difference ,I know that for her this was a big thing to do for emotional and courage to do something like that, in a world where everyone has something to say about you and what you do this was not an easy steps to do for her.  I don't think all of you would like to see your work distributed for free or leaked, she is a person for first and she feels emotions like everyone, she is not only an image on a screen or a photo printed on paper she lives like me and you. I have seen people here who almost pretend to see the pictures i all the way only to see how much she is nude and after, judge her, what a shame, this is a serious and only for real fan forum, vulgarity and other things can stay out.

I appreciated that Balto88 has removed the photos and that he apologized to her, I hope Genevieve can understand that he had no bad intentions.

So after looking at the Facebook video Genevieve posted about her frustration I will admit I'm not so sure the poster here is a fake anymore, although I'm not entirely convinced it is her either.  However, I'm a big enough man to admit if I'm wrong and the evidence may be pointing that way.

 

Saying that, I think Genevieve is way off base here based on what she said on Facebook.  I definitely understand the frustrations artists have with their work being distributed on websites, which cuts into their compensation, but that's the double edged sword that exists because of the internet and fighting it isn't going to change reality.  Instead of being angry that she's not selling as many calendars as she expected, she should be looking at this as great marketing and exposure for her brand.  If she and her agent/manager use the trending metrics, that are publicly available, to paint the right picture it can help her get other modeling contracts that are guaranteed pay days.  All industries and businesses, and a model is a businesses unto herself, need to embrace the modern world we live in and accept the realities of doing business in this world.

i know that calendar is hers and i understand what happened,but posting pics from magazines or websites is basically the same..

That's a good question... basically all the instagram/twitter picture posted directly from her or other model are free, but when comes from magazines or photographer are protected by copyright or other, I repeat good question...

It is a reality and I'm sure Genevieve and her people took all that in to account, particularly for last year's calendar given the nudity. If you are going to create something of interest a small percentage of people are going to share it so they can get the virtual pat on the back and the 'thanks bro' comments on a fan forum. But it's perfectly natural for her to hope that fans will  have her artistic and financial interests at heart even before she has to put out her polite request not to share the images.  Maybe she should put a similar request in with any future calendar project.

 

Last year my second favourite songstress requested (in advance of tickets going on sale)  that nobody use phones/cameras in her concerts during a small tour of church venues....and as if by magic, to this day not a single clip of any of those concerts appeared on video sites except for professionally shot ones she released herself (for free!) and I saw no phones being used in the concert I went to.

I bought your calendar last year to support you, even knowing the pictures would show up online later.  You were brave to do the calendar and it was art.  I hope you understand many supported you because you did the calendar, not just to get the images.

You're denying reality here.  The pictures from both calendars are all over the Internet, it really has nothing to do with this site.  The music industry tried to fight digital distribution of its content and lost that battle badly.  The movie/tv industry has been more successful because they created streaming platforms, but still fight a large amount of piracy.  Anyone who thinks that content won't get online at some point, if not very quickly after it's been released, is just fooling themselves.
