The Naked Heart Foundation Benefit Set for July in Monaco

TAKING HEART: Imagine watching an opera in the private box of royalty; playing tennis with a top-ranked professional, or sending your child for an internship with Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel. You don’t have to. All those fantasy experiences are among 12 auction lots at the next edition of the Love Ball, the centerpiece fund-raiser for Natalia Vodianova’s children’s charity, The Naked Heart Foundation. Scheduled for July 27 in Monaco, it is being held with the high patronage of Albert II, Prince of Monaco, and Charlene, Princess of Monaco.

“Every member of the family has been incredibly generous,” Vodianova said, disclosing details about the glittering event, which aims to raise 5 million euros, or $6.6 million at current exchange.

The reining monarchs are providing the venue — the grand Opéra de Monte-Carlo — along with several auction lots and accommodation for guests and the production team.

Vodianova set a Seventies-in-the-Riviera theme for the gala dinner, which will feature performances by an elite slice of Russia’s classical music scene, including conductor Valery Gergiev, who is to rush from a premiere in Saint Petersburg. Afterwards, guests can repair to the casino for charity gambling. “I find gambling can be so glamorous, and very Monte Carlo,” the model said, flashing a big smile.

The three previous Love Balls have generated about 70 percent of revenues for Naked Heart, which aids underprivileged and special-needs children in Russia. To date, it has funded 90 play parks in 68 Russian cities, along with various support programs.

Meanwhile, “Belle du Seigneur,” the feature film in which Vodianova stars opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers, is slated for a June 19 release in France.

Ей сильно понравилась роль, она загорелась — хочу сниматься! Но, увы, ничего не вышло. Во-первых, у Водяновой очень напряженный график, и наши съемки в него никак не вписывались. Во-вторых, мы были ограничены ее рекламными контрактами — Наташа не имела права менять внешность, а нужно было наращивать и красить волосы... В результате ее роль досталась Агнии Дитковските.
