Thank you all for the warm welcome back online! Vacations are continuing - I am in summer camp outside Nizhniy Novgorod. What makes this place stand out from many other summer camps here in Russia is that it opens its doors to the whole family. I am accompanying my little sister Oxana and our mommy, which gives this vacation a higher purpose.

Initially this summer camp was established by local government to serve the underprivileged and large families and functions all year round.This three weeks vacation for children with special needs and their parents is made possible thanks to the initiative, professionalism and experience of Ludmila Viktorovna Veko - the head and founder of "Veras". This charity together with The Naked Heart Foundation are responsible for integration into the life of the camp of children with special needs like my sister. Ludmila Viktorovna herself is raising autistic daughter Elena.

Everyday children receive contenious care and attention of teachers and specialists. Everyone working here have received special training programme to be able to integrate children with special needs into camp's activities. There are fun gatherings, parties and sporting events where everyone can participate. Parents and caretakers attend seminars dedicated to improving quality of family's everyday life, better understanding of their rights, opportunities and their own children. The living conditions are far from luxurious, but the level of inclusion is of the high standard. All the children are happily playing together. I am here almost a week. My heart is celebrating!

I don't know if it is appropriate to notice it here, but I LOVE the way she "everyday" dresses. Confortable, sober, graceful, joyful and elegant. And she is EXTREMLY pretty. She shines with happiness. I love it.

I agree with you, sunshine. Natalia shines with happiness. I always impresses me how much she loves to be with her family and help others in great needs. Her mom did a wonderful job raising Natalia, that's for sure.
