Lolita
It's a quick read. Shouldn't take more than three hours. I remember when I first got the book, all I could think of was 'The font in this book is huge.' lol. Yeah I'm a dork.

I LOVE THAT PAIRING, okay? so far, half-blood prince is the only book my mom has blown for me ... haha so basically my mom has read them all, and we have this tradition of seeing the movies together every year ...i know i'm such a chump haha but i cant get into the books, and at this point i'd rather just be surprised when i see the films, then have my mom fill in the missing stuff. she's been good at not ruining the surprises...til this last book. she spewed out the whole damn thing to me. there will be no surprise when i go see this movie

OriginalSin
It's a quick read. Shouldn't take more than three hours. I remember when I first got the book, all I could think of was 'The font in this book is huge.' lol. Yeah I'm a dork. haha you were so right! it did go really quickly, and it's really well written, completely different from the film. the movie is good in its own right i will admit, and i kinda understand why the two are so different. the book, as it stands, would not translate well into film. i'm actually kinda surprised they even tried but i really enjoyed the book especially the chapter on velocity vs. viscosity
Lolita
I'm glad you enjoyed it. OMG I loved the chapter with the 'other' Lisa that came in and she wanted so badly to be like Lisa that she escaped the ward and got on crack or whatever. lol. I love Lisa even more now that I have the book. Don't you?

SontaSejou
I just love George Orwell, so my favourite books are 1984 and Animal Farm. I adore Orwell, 1984 is one of the greatest books I have ever read. I love far too many books to name all of them, but here are recent ones I've read since the beginning of the year: Atlas Shrugged, The Time Traveller's Wife, A Clockwork Orange (one of the best movies, as well) Oh and out of Harry Potter, I personally liked Half-Blood Prince best

Rogue
omg i read the 2nd one in spanish! actually both in english and spanish. it was for spanish class and well...i suck at spanish even though i'm latina so after reading the book in spanish i read it in english to make sure i got everything haha kinda wish i hadnt read the end in english though. i was blissfully content not understand the details of his death You're latina? me too. Uh, I haven't read it in spanish but I wish I did, it's not the same in english - something about the way words can be used in spanish that beats english Anyways, I liked the story.. I have a thing for sad endings and I liked that I knew what I was paying for from the moment I read the first page. Sadly I'm not a big reader.. I wish I read more. I also liked L'
