A little bit of history:

In 2007 former Star Academy Yoga teacher and Crazy Horse dancer Aria met Interscope record exec Jimmy Iovine. Together with him, Will-i-am and Robin Antin they auditioned over 500 European Girls and picked 6 girls including Shar Mae Amor, Lauren Bennett, Kelly Beckett and Jule to go to L.A.. Together they started recording and after being cut down to 4 members they were featured in a remix of Will-i-am's I Got It From My Mama.

After the Search for the Next Doll, Antin brought in some girls from the show (Mariela Arteaga, Sisely Treasure, Brittany Diiorio and Chelsea Korka) to work with the girls but in the end only Aria, Lauren, Shar, Kelly and Chelsea made the final group and finished recording songs.
