SamanthaGreen143 Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 i lost over 100 pounds and i have strech marks like on my back and sides pretty bad how do you think a modeling agency would feel about it, would it stop me from modeling? Quote
shananen2464 Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 i think you can get rid of them with coco butter? but im not entirely sure Quote
Sheyda Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 I tried cocoa butter and it did reduce them a little. They also fade with time. I tried something by L'Oreal that did nothing, so I wouldn't recommend buying their stretchmark stuff. I've also heard Mederma and Retin-A are good, though I haven't tried them myself and I think the former is very expensive. I don't know how modelling agencies would feel about stretchmarks, but if you're a woman you're pretty much guaranteed to either have stretchmarks or cellulite because of how fat collects in women's bodies and how their hips and breasts grow during puberty. So if they're not going to pick you because of that I think they are being too choosy. I'm 5'2"/158cm and weigh somewhere between 98lbs/44kg and 102lbs/46kg. I'm about a size 2-4. I don't really want to lose any weight (except for the annoying lump of fat on my lower back that makes me look fat from behind), but I do want to tone up. The top of my stomach is toned fine, but no matter how many sit ups I do I can't seem to tone the bottom part. I'm also running on this machine at the gym (don't know what it is called, but it is not a regular treadmill) to tone up my butt and doing things with dumbells to tone my chest (keeps your boobs nice and perky ). Someone I know who does a lot of mountainbiking said that even if a woman follows the same exercise routines as a man (minus all the food and supplements he might eat to gain muscle) she will not get big, bulky and masculine, but she will get toned and enhance her curves because of the way women are built. She attended a fitness group herself with a bunch of slim petite women and she said afterwards they were all extremely curvy and toned. I just hope that I can do the same seeing as I am also slim and petite and already have some nice curves to build upon. Quote
Lolita Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 congrats on losing 100 pounds. That's so awesome. Quote

tuhreese Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Being physically fit, seeing how troublesome it is for people or out of shape people to move about, exerting themselves with great effort are all the motivation I need. I refuse to let myself become a slob. I only have one body, better take care of it well. Gaining strength is a plus. Quote

SympathysSilhouette Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 I used to play footie all through high school. I also did some other sports (long distance running, some swimming). But during college, it all slowly faded away (except for a little indoor footie). I've started again recently, hoping to find a club to play on within the next few months (hopefully weeks, so I can start from the beginning of the season, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet). Quote
