elfstone Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Just watched the finale Now I really hope next year is the last season, or its gonna be really boring the longer it goes. Quote
SympathysSilhouette Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 They are aiming for seven seasons. Quote
Lyla Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I really loved the final episode, except the last 5 minutes. But I hope Melisandre and Davos will bring Jon back to life. I can't imagine other scenario, or this will be a huge scandal, lol..Not that I loved Jon Snow that much, but still... Quote
SympathysSilhouette Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 There are mixed reports about Kit Harington's return. He was supposedly signed on through season seven, but the season seven thing was just an option. The story now is that he is to return for a single season six episode, which would suggest he is done. However, this might all be a smokescreen by the showrunners to keep people in the dark until next year. What has changed since the start of the show is that Harington has a proper movie career now. elfstone Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 They are aiming for seven seasons. I see. Besides, a handful of characters are still alive I really loved the final episode, except the last 5 minutes. But I hope Melisandre and Davos will bring Jon back to life. I can't imagine other scenario, or this will be a huge scandal, lol..Not that I loved Jon Snow that much, but still... Harington himself said, and I quote 'I'm done!' http://www.ew.com/article/2015/06/14/game-thrones-jon-dies-interview There's still crazy ideas out there like the Night's King shall eventually revive him Quote
Kevork89 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 We will see but I'm completely depressed lol. Absolutely shattered. I cried like a baby. Won't even lie. But I don't think he's gone. Also the book ends just as we see in the show and there's been no new books since. Quote

Just pretend you never watched the finale, and consider this: http://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/23p48r/the_true_nature_and_purpose_of_the_others_and_the/ How about Dany turned out to be the main antagonist in end? Cringeworthy??? Quote
Kevork89 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Omg can you imagine. If that were the case it what be shocking and amazing all in one. It all kind of makes sense though. Quote
SympathysSilhouette Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 There is no way that Jon is dead. 1. Kit Harington got a huge raise when he renegotiated his contract for season 6 (and a possible season 7). The showrunners won't waste that dough on a character who might return for just one more episode in the next season.2. They spent time on the R+L=J thing this year (in the scene in the crypt at Winterfell). They would not devote precious screentime to a useless story-line. Since that story line dies with Jon, Jon is still going to feature going forward.3. Kit Harington's words are just to keep the uncertainty/intrigue going for as long as possible. I'm sure it'll be spoiled long before season 6 starts by some on-screen photographs that leak to the internet. Quote
elfstone Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I'm more and more inclined to agree with you, eps in light of how much time I spent last night googling all things GOT INterestingly none of the GOT geeks seem to agree that Jon is dead. Though they do think it possible that he may eventually join the Walkers, making this whole thing about Dany vs Jon Quote
Kevork89 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 There's already been talk he was spotted in Belfast. A fan asked to take a photo and he said he can't. Filming is set to start in a week or two for season 6. Quote
elfstone Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Is it true Catalyn Stark, and the Hound dont die in the books? If it is, than the show really sucks IMO Quote
Stormbringer Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 If I remember correctly, in the books we don't see the Hound dying. Just badly wounded. I guess it's safe to assume he died but there can be doubts. But Catelyn DID die Anyway, if you're really interested I strongly recommend you to read the books. Instead of just rumors on the internet. Quote

But I agree, that sucks. I was just talking to a friend about how much I was expecting to see Lady Stoneheart. And apparently is not going to happen. Same with other missing characters. I wanted to see Coldhands badly too... Quote

elfstone Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 In that case Hound vs Mountain is not merely rumors Quote
Stormbringer Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 ^ What you mean by Hound vs Mountain? If I remember correctly, in the books we don't see the Hound dying. Just badly wounded. Yeah I know the theory, but it doesn't convince me. Again, it could be, considering how Martin works, but I doubt it. We'll have to wait for the next book to see who's right Quote
