Flesh and Bone Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Should I wait for these to reappear or should I just reupload them all? Quote
La Parisienne Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 About 8 posts of mine, more or less, have disappeared, but I'm not worried about it. I'm not too demanding. Quote

GJB Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Any progress on restoring the missing images? :notsure: Quote
maddog107 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 First please ignore the 20-30mins of downtime we just had. I am losing my mind and after fixing the old server I accidentaly shut off the website on the new server (I was trying to stop it on the old one...). And second, I just got back from the Datacenter and installed the new RAID card. So tonight I will merge the two machines and the images shall be back. ETA 4-6 hours Quote
ILUVAdrianaLima Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 ^ Thank you sir for all the efforts Quote
maddog107 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Update - Will continue the effort tomorrow, ran into a few issues and gotta go back to Datacenter Quote
brazilianaffair Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 that's unfortunate, i've lost an awful lot of posts still hope they'll reappear, but take your time to fix things, don't rush it the effort is appreciated Quote
Baby.Jude9 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Can we make some sort of "don't copy and paste things straight from tFS; we're our own damn forum and we can fend for our damn selves" sort of rule? Because I swear there are loads of people on here who literally copy and paste posts with mediocre quality and incomplete sets of images from tFS and then other BZ members (*cough-cough*) actually put in the time and effort to find the highest quality images and most complete set of images and then model topics are stuck with like 3 or 4 different posts with all the same pictures in varying quality and it's just really annoying. Or seriously can we just have a "just take a little bit of time out of your damn day to find all those pictures in a decent quality: it's really not that hard and it really does make a big difference" sort of rule? And can we also get that "crediting your sources makes it look likes you care and helps other members contribute more" rule that I've been praying on my hands and knees for to implemented for weeks now? Seriously, can we just get some rules? Rules? Like... (Ok, look, I know this sounds all really dictator-y and stuff but not gonna lie I really think it will help to improve quality and participation within the forum... especially quality. I like quality.) Quote
Mahi Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 ^ %100 true, and I agree with it.Finding own stuff is really something amazing,I tried few times before to use tfs as source, and I found it really boring thing, not enjoyable at all, they're similar to us,they're not orginal source for many stuff, why wouldn't we find our own,it's easy, the joy comes from finding, grabing, uploading stuff of our own,10 own stuff posts are really better than 100s stolen codes posts,it worsen's one's online reputation, and it weakens and worsens the forum image.Crediting is as you said helpful to contribute,I knew many useful fashion sites from other members's creditings. PinkCouture Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 We hear all your suggestions and I thank everybody for their input. Most of these things are a matter of "capability" Quote
Cult Icon Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I read your 'letter to the board', Miss Jude and you know, as a consumer of your product and the 'TFS & twitter & instagram copy & lazy pasters',.....I have to say that I appreciate both forms of contribution. But of course, the higher resolution pictures are better. I also don't like it when people post only 1 crap picture and thus clog up the threads themselves. Nevertheless, all is not lost as I can see a victory here. By lodging a complaint, you may have succeeded in telling all who have come here that you put a great deal of work in your posts and that you have standards. Quote
Baby.Jude9 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 ^ "Standards" to say the least. I apologize if I "stirred" anything up (per say) by quoting my own post, I was more concerned that somebody knew that I'd put forth a suggestion rather than just sounding more aggravated with the issue all together.
