modelknowledge Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 She was a contemporary of Mounia, Kirat, Jerry hall, Ines de la Fressange, and Marie Heven. She was one of Guy Heron's models who arranged models for shows in Paris and Milan, mostly black models in the beginning. She was with Ellen harth models. Ellen took over at Wilhelmina after Willie died but didn't get along with the other model booker. She went out on her own and eventually merged with elite. So it's safe to say that , as she was referred no last name ever that I could find, started out in the late 70s. Quote
spiral Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 ^Thanks for the info, MK. Amalia's last name is Vairelli. She has a sister named Edia who was a model also. They both sometimes modeled in the same fashion shows. Quote
modelknowledge Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Yea but she never ever booked under that name. She was simply referred to as Amalia, kind of like Cher. She also walked for Ungaro in 1985. If you look through, Jerry Hall's shows circa 1982 in Paris, you will find more of her. Actually, look for all of these models shows Mounia, Kirat, Jerry hall, Ines de la Fressange, and Marie Heven around that time. She kind of get forgotten about and she never got much press. Quote
