I'm no expert on the disaster, but the mishandling of the situation was not new to me (by individuals and as a result of the system). One thing that i didn't remember, or never knew, was how much worse the situation could have been. Quote

jkjk Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 ^ When Jared Harris' character described how those closest to the plant would die, it was awful enough. Then they showed it and wow. I think it was important not to skip over it, though. Part of the reason you have to show it is because it really happened to those people, and it was not their fault. Those responsible never really had to pay for their bad decisions and failings (with a couple exceptions). Clearly, radiation does horrible things to people (and all living things). Quote
