hellzbelle Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Damn. I thought those were better quality. Sorry. I have them on a CD. It looks like someone did a bad job of enlarging them. I can try to fix them for you tomorrow, if no one beats me to it. Quote
Nine Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Shockingly enough, for once, when it comes to a high res image, I can do better. sans text, people. Don't remember where I found it. Do like the coloring on the other one better tho. Quote

Capt Snow Posted February 17, 2005 Author Posted February 17, 2005 You guys are quick, thanks tons for the info, and the pictures. Quote

It wasn't his scan originally, but he did the editting. Quote
hellzbelle Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Got these from ThePlace.ru They're much cleaner! Too bad they don't have the other two. Quote
avadakedavra Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Here are some more scans I did the other day, I am unsure which magazine these came from, but I'm leaning towards either Elle or Vogue Brazil. If anyone knows let me know. I tried tweaking the scanner to get better results, but I still couldn't figure out how to get rid of the damn rainbow lines, going horizontal across the scans. Is this a scanner quality problem, or is there something I can do to fix that when I scan? Of course if someone wants to help. I got really really bored so I pieced the two parter together and fixed it a little. Obviously left the tags on it lol did a little compensation for the magazine fold. since there was a chunk of it missing ( Which is why there's a space between the words. Usually that's in the binding. And I took print classes for far to long.... ) Quote
avadakedavra Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 ^ and of course I spot something I want to fix now -.- meh Quote
Capt Snow Posted February 17, 2005 Author Posted February 17, 2005 That's pretty good, awesome job putting the two together, I wish I was good enough to do that stuff myself. Someday.... Wish I could have scanned them better too. I don't know if it was the scanner or if I was doing something wrong. Probably the scanner, seeing as how I totally rule and it couldn't possibly have been me. Quote
avadakedavra Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Of course not. And part of my BA was taking photoshop classes. I spent a lot of time learning how to do really random stuff in that class. But hey it was fun. And I can fix Ana if the need arises so it's a good skill to have Quote
avadakedavra Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 I recieved the 2000, March edition of Audi today, and have set to scanning it. Here's the cover. I'll try putting the two pagers together when I get to them. ( the quality is 'eh' but there's nothing i can do about that with a 60 dollar scanner ) Cover From Table of Contents Editorial Quote
Neo52285 Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 as good as i could do...i had to make it a little smaller....its either this or i have to take my scanner to scottsdale so you can scan it Quote
avadakedavra Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 I may sit down and actually edit them later. I just wanted to get them scanned and up so people could see Good job though Quote
Nine Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Two tips, avadakedavra. Number 1 - do not be afraid of ripping your magazines up. The pages you wish to keep can be stored in manila folders and kept safe from wear and tear. Scanning the individual page makes it MUCH easier to... well... scan.Secondly, it looks like your scanner is set to scan photos, not magazine pages. Fiddle around and see if you can find the option for magazine or art pages... most programs have them. My scanner, prior to my new one, was $60 dollars. You -can- do good work with a cheap scanner. Make it work for you! Quote
Neo52285 Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 see thats why i dont scan...i dont like ripping up my mags....i like them intact all i do is scan covers. Quote
