The only real downside to the direction Maxim has taken as of late has been the lack of variety in the backgrounds.  It's generally just a light or a dark background.  Some variety could really go a long way towards taking them to another level.

Does she look good? Yes, of course she does, the woman is stunning. But this photoshoot is boring as fuck and the fact that Lo as stunning as she is, isn't exactly the most versatile model out there isn't helping either. I'd give this shoot a 2/5 at best.

I am not a fan of Gilles Bensimon but even so I have to say his previous shoots for Maxim usually impressed me a lot more than this one. Though with this make-up there wasn't that much he could do.

Her self esteem would be at risk too. Bellemere is known to make mean comments towards models, like he did with Rachel Cook. Tbf, that photo shoot isn't great even though Lorena looks amazing. I think Lorena working with Voltaire would be a great idea. He's a great photographer, but he's not a creep like Bellemere.

The man made horrible comments about Rachel during a photoshoot and even had the nerve to put it in his documentary, it's painful to watch honestly, you can see all over Rachel's face how she was feeling (spoiler alert: like shit). He is a pig and Lo needs to stay away from him.

 

The Maxim shoot was for sure a letdown, but idk if we can blame it on Gilles, he is just the photographer, not the editor, the model nor the stylist. He has done some very good shoots for Maxim, I really liked Emily Didonato, Barbara Palvin, Kate Upton, Nina Agdal, Hannah Davis, Stella Maxwell and even Hannah Ferguson's was great even tho it was also a white wall shoot. Vita Sidorkina, Georgia Fowler, Chase Carter and Heidi Klum all had white wall/studio shotos and they all look great in their pics with almost the same team behind. I think this mess is a combination of poor styling and the fact that Lo isn't the finest model out there, sis has the same expression in almost every single picture and also has some very awkward body movement.

 

As stunning as she is, the more work from Lo I see the more convinced I am that as a model, she's just boring
