Katy Hansz is the founder and director of GoodModel and is currently an MSW candidate at New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. She has worked as a professional model for over 22 years with Ford Models Inc. and JAG Models. Katy was the face of Marina Rinaldi from 2012-2014 and has done numerous campaigns including TJ Maxx, Playtex, Target and Marks and Spencer. She has walked the runway for Elena Miro, shot for Eileen Fisher, H&M, Glamour, Old Navy, Levi's and Mode, and continues to maintain many clients including Dress Barn, Macy’s, Land’s End, Kohl’s, HSN, Ulla Popken and Hanes.

In addition to her career success, Katy has also been a devoted practitioner of Zen Buddhism for over 12 years. She became a lay ordained student with Bonnie Myotai Treace and the Hermitage Heart lineage of Soto Zen in 2008 and has studied and practiced with many spiritual leaders including John Daido Roshi, Geoffrey Shugen Arnold, Adyashanti, Mukti and Teah Strozer of Brooklyn Zen Center.

Along with working on her MSW, Katy is currently enrolled in the Center for Self Leadership's training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), created by Richard Schwartz, and will have Level One completed in the Fall of 2016. She is also a self-taught musician and songwriter who feels deeply connected to music as a healing modality and hopes to incorporate its universal potential into GoodModel's commitment to self-expression and creative empowerment.
