This is a command of the International Contemporary Art Fair (FIAC), which takes place from October 23 to 26. Each year, FIAC gives carte blanche to an artist on this square in Paris, as part of its program "Beyond the Walls". In 2014, the choice fell on the American, while the Paris Mint will bring, for its reopening on October 24, his first major French exhibition, "Chocolate Factory." While the "tree" made of plastic canvas in bright green finished to draw the side of the Vendôme column, the most phallic monuments of Paris, we interviewed the artist, who has made a specialty of disturbing works and . provocative about the nature of his work "It all started with a joke: Originally, I thought that anal plug had a shape similar to the sculptures of Brancusi. Afterwards, I realized that it looked like a Christmas tree. But it is an abstract work. The people may be offended if they want to refer to the plug, but for me , this is more of an abstraction. Prettyphile Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I like the bigger ones, the small ones freak me out to no end.Pheno is so scared of spiders that she runs if they come anywhere near her and refuses to go into the room the spider is in till someone goes in and kills it for her. If she's forced to kill it she damn near crawls into the fetal position and cries the entire time lmao.. Quote
Stormbringer Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Oh, a real phobia then In my case is not a phobia, but I really don't like them, and the bigger the thing is, the worst, specially those ones with longer legs. I have no issues with the tiny ones actually. There's like only 2 really dangerous spider species here, but that reasoning doesn't always help Quote
