So I finally watched the show ... Here are my thoughts on it

 

Credits

Loved them, i think they were fucking adorable. LMAO at Kate being first there tho

 

Boho Psychodelic

Behati needs to never open the show again, for real she just doesn't have the energy for it. I feel like the show started when Candice walked lol, Lily is such a hot mess, so many years walking and she's still awful o.o.
I hate the Kartrashians, but yall knew that already, did we really need to see Kris and Bruce in the audience? Nope, but we also didn't need Caleb who is not even really a famous face lol.
Joan slayed it as usual, and Romee were nice. Taylor was pretty meh here, Josephine has a great body, like really it's perfect.
Elsa was perfect as per usual, she should have closed the segment, Kate was fine but IDK something was missing.
Great music tho, loved it.

 

VSFS segment 
STOP IT. They do this shit every year we don't need another reminder that "It's the biggest fashion event of the year", you idiots it's the ONLY fashion event in basic cable and it features half naked women o.O
Jac was lovely here tho.

 

POA
Kinda boring, Abel nailed it for sure but I'm still not sure of what this segment was suppossed to be about?
Lily D needs to go, she just doesn't do it for me anymore. 
Sanne and Gracie stole this segment for me, both were simply amazing
Bruna was so awkward she was great in pictures yet so terrible in motion, what a let down
Vita was really cute and she seemed so happy to be there, Flavia was also good she reminds me of Gisele and that is a great thing.
Jacquelyn, Sui, Cindy, Constance were all meh. Izabel was gold as usual
Jasmine was alright but something was off, sad that her two segments got put together tho it means she's done for the rest of the night o.o

 

IG segment
STOP IT. I never want to see another social network segment again. Also, the queen of selfies is Elsa, fuck everyone else. Adriana tho she was just not having it

Newest Angels segment
Kinda lame but the footage from Rome was great and wifie was on point. 
Also please Behati, shut up, you didn't get invited to the OScars because you're the best VS models, you got it because you're banging Adam Levine so thank him alright?
We were SO close to not seeing Taylor, so close ...

 

Exotic Butterflies
I literally had to mute this segment because Ellie is such a trainwreck
Adriana is everything, even with the shitty make up she had on this year she still killed it.
Gigi's walk here was just meh and the cape was kinda messy. Sara was perfect but really she and Romee shouldn't be walking after Adriana and Candice respectively
Stella yawn. Paule was a mess, Shanina yawn, Jac was pure class and awesomeness, Daniela was a mess I'm still trying to process and it's hard because I like her a lot.
Ming girl I like you but you ain't Adriana, Barbara meh, Magdalena slayed it and I'm so offended she had just one outfit.
Valery yawn, Lais who I adore looked terrified, maybe the wings were really heavy? The editing fucked her? IDK but I didn't like it and I'm a huge Lais fan.

 

VSX Segment
Best segment by a lot, finally the girls get real and we get more than just "It's just genes and I eat healthy but I don't deprive myself", also wifie looked flawless again, I also loved Jasmine here I liked her a lot.

 

Gigi/Rachel Segment
Poor Rachel, if they were going to put all the focus on Gigi why even bother having Rachel? It was kinda a slap in the face to her IMO but oh well, typical VS. I expect Gigi to be contracted within the next year, both girls looked great tho.

 

Pink
Another segment I had to mute, Selena Gomez just can't sing o.o and wtf with the fake eye color girl? 
Taylor's best moment from the night, still not understanding why Rachel didn't open, I loved her and she has a great energy.
Megan I actually like tbh, I don't understand all the shit she gets Yumi was much much better this time than last year but still a bit awkward, Maud needs no comments because dat face, great legs tho.
Ming was perfect here, she rocked that horrid outfit. Cowgirl whose name I don't remember was great too.
Bridget was amazing, I love how she didn't go dumb for this, Gigi was much better here than her previous walk.
Josephine walks out and that shit should have been over because dayum, poor Devon, walking after Josephine in the cop outfit is a bitch. The closing was just awful, I don't care what anyone says those three women don't look good together and it was awkward all around.

 

Baby pictures thing
Repetitive? Yes. Still fucking cute and this segment had more boobs than the rest of the show together which is sad. Oh and look, Kate is alive! She doesn't talk but she's alive.

 

Ice Angels
Here comes the mute once again ...
Candice nailed the opening, if she opened like this when she opens the show she would be a great opener. Lais was much better here and her boobs are just to die for. Sharam was also really good here. Kate yawn. Wifie is flawless once again, sad they didn't show the resting bitch face or the butt? wtf. Barbara was really nice here but she's still forgettable AF.
Izabel being epic and terrible AF as always, like girl pepople don't scream for you because they don't know who the fuck you are, stop it. Sui pretending she is sleeping was so accurate, because she was a yawn and so was Lily D. Stella was so awkward it makes me sad. Jac was perfection and Romee looked great too but what mind fuck must have been for some people to see Candice walking again

 

FB segment
I liked it, finally VS goes back to putting attention to the FB and Lily's reaction seemed really genuine which was nice, I'm happy she got it even if it was that ugly bra.

Fireworks

Lily is such a mess like, it needs to be stopped and she got the worst FB outfit ever.
Alessandra was great and Cindy was alright until she did that awkward thing with her wings, Adriana was just Adriana as always so Joan aso a killer but dat outfit was horrid poor woman. Behati is either 14 months pregnant or needs to lay off the beer.
Maria yawn here, my beloved Devon wtf did you do? Please NO. Sara's walk one of the best of the night. Constance yawn again, and then Martha who just didn't cut it for me with the closing and that outfit should have been on Lais or someone who had boobs that actually fitted the corset, it looked just awkward on her.

 

Overall the editing was better, much better than other years but tbh my expectations were SO low it may be that After seeing the show I strongly think VS needs to drop at least Stella, Kate and Martha because while they're all beautiful women they just don't add anything to the brand, Lily also needs to be dropped Gracie was amazing and Sanne, Bridget and Flavia were the best newbies IMO. I did appreciate the fact that they had more focus on the girls and less in the performers, that was nice for a change. 
I think VS needs to understand that less is more, they had 47 girls and so many of them were completely lost in the crowd, the vast majority of them actually and having 15 angels doesn't work either ebcause they just don't get enough exposure, wifie got lots of screentime so clearly I'm thrilled for her but Lais? Kate? Stella? Romee? Is like they weren't even there at all  

The outfits looked better in motion than in pictures for the most part, the best one for me was Ice Angels and Fireworks was the worst in that department. The hair and make up were such a mess, it didn't work on most of the girls, all the Angels looked much much better in the interviews than on the runway 

 

I give this show 6.5/10

Right? every year more and more outfits cover the booty then the ones that show them off they edit it so you barely get a glimpse of the backside, it's some bullshit #FreeTheBooty

A couple things, am I the only one who wasn't reminded of Karlie's "shake" during the runway in the Aquatic Angels segment when Cindy did that thing with her wings i the Firework segment? I swear VS probably told them both to do that. 

 

Also, Selena wore contacts cause she said something about Adriana being an inspiration or something to her. I was also partly happy partly rolling my eyes when Iza was telling the audience to cheer heh. 

 

And don't even get me started with the social media or Gigi getting a special segment as well even though she ain't the Pink Spokesperson. Rachel seems okay to me, good enough for Pink. Also, am I the only one who thinks that even last years show was better? The new editing style they used this year just seemed kind of tacky tbh and the multiple windows screen was kind of annoying imo. All in all, Candice and Jac for me saved it. Of course, Constance as well. . 

 

All in all, it was kind of a let down, okay there was some "flashes in the pan" but that was it and I can see that a quick Google search shows that viewers are losing interest too, apparently there was only around 6.5 million viewers, the years prior had around 9 or 10 million viewers. Looks like Kendall and Gigi couldn't hype up the show to get them more viewers.

I think there were so many odd or awkward poses at the end of the runway this year. The editing wasn't horrible except for the split screen stuff. Many of the outfits looked a lot better in motion than I expected.

Thanks for doing this. I love the remix. It sucks that the only time the voiceover was used during a segment was to announce that Kendalls walking. The audio was ruined because of that.

I think a possible reason in a drop in viewers was because of change. You know how many people even yourselves have to admit that sometimes change is hard to get use too.Many casual fans were shocked when 10 new angels were dropped. In fact, I overheard a classmate saying that nowadays VS models don't have big boobs over a c cup and that they all must be tall, have eurocentric features and a thigh gap to be in the show or model for them. Several other girls in my class agreed with her. And no, these aren't fat girls, these are slim and average weight girls talking about the show. Aka, people are starting unimpressed with the brand, even their target audience. They were also bored with the outfits. 

 

Also, look at the VS YT channel, sooooooo many comments complaining about how their's too much angels or why they never use Kate or how Stella and Martha is bland and basic. Then the moment the bra for the 20th Anniversary came out and Kendall and Gigi were announced on the catwalk and the segements. All the same old. This has probably aldready been said but I just had to my two cents. It also didn't help that December is the month of fall finales for many shows on American TV.

 

I really hope CBS or someone fires ED and Monica and whoever the big VS marketing team is or at least gives new fresher faces big positions to advise them. I mean, if their models can come and go then why can't they?

Ale - kind of a weak opening. She looked amazing though

Lily D - kinda meh now. Her last good year was 2013

Kendall - not bad. Still dont know how to pose

Sanne - she had a good walk. Her corset looks like its meant for a senior

Sui - love her. Finally this girl got her wings

Gracie - she looked absolutely stunning. I dont know why VS keeps passing on her on the previous years

Bruna - she got one of the better outfits for newbies. Her posing was so harsh though

Vita - beautiful girl but quite forgettable

Flavia - she was great. She doesnt remind me of Giselle (giselles on a way different level) but definitely one of the better rookies

Jacquelyn - great girl. but why one outfit only?

Cindy - i love her cape. Love her playfulness as well

I hope people aren't expecting a change though. VS probably think there weren't big enough acts to salvage the show this year so they'll go above and beyond to secure someone even bigger or think Taylor got rating two years in a row let's bring her back. (Totally calling it from now). VS are idiots. They don't think they need to try out a new formula they just think slapping some glue and some glitter over it will fix it. I can guarantee next year will be the same damn formula that the shows been since 2010. Don't expect it to change. If it does I'll be super surprised.
