MauiKane Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 A palindrome is a word, phrase, sentence or any sequence of characters that reads the same backwards as it is forward. However, did you know this?: 'palindromes' spelled backwards is 'semordnilap,' which is a word itself. What's a semordnilap? It's a word that, when spelled backwards, forms a completely different word. Use this thread to share a palindrome and/or a semordnilap. Enjoy! Palindrome: level Semornilap: desserts/stressed Quote

MauiKane Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 Palindrome (?): Boobytrap ---> Partyboob ^ This is a semordnilap because when reversed, it spells a different word. A palindrome reads the same forwards and backwards, e.g. mom, dad, radar, civic, noon. Hope this helps. Quote
