U.K. Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 My spin:Lots of interesting matches to comment on, but the most interesting was perhaps the rookie taking out the supermodel, as Rose Bertram knocked off Rachel Hunter. Though there was about a 15 year age difference between them in their pictures (one around 20 and the other around 35). If there was less of an age difference between them in the pictures it might have been a bit fairer/given different results. Quote

alluringbeauties Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 Lots of results today, since I’m in the middle of catching up from my time away from the computer. Group Stage Group 78: Shana Zadrick (63.3%) defeated Chandra North (36.7%)Shana Zadrick advances to the Knockout Stage Group 39: Dominique Piek (71.5%) defeated Frankie Rayder (28.5%)Dominique Piek advances to the Knockout Stage Group 63: Ehrinn Cummings and Kelly Rohrbach drew (50.0% each)Kelly Rohrbach advances to the Knockout Stage Group 32: Cheryl Tiegs (76.6%) defeated Barbara Carrera (23.4%)Cheryl Tiegs advances to the Knockout Stage Group 76: Aurelie Claudel (65.1%) defeated Valerie van der Graaf (34.9%)Aurelie Claudel advances to the Knockout Stage Group 33: Alyssa Miller (78.4%) defeated Adaora Akubilo (21.6%)Alyssa Miller advances to the Knockout Stage My spin: Chandra North, the 34th ranked model, was upset by #118 Shana Zadrick. That marked the biggest surprise of this batch of matches. Shana will face the Group 36 winner, which will be either Kelly Emberg or Hilary Rhoda. She might just be a real sleeper pick to make it to the Sexy Sixteen, since no huge powerhouses stand in her way. The top ranked model in that subregion is #12 Daniela Pestova, and it’s not outside the realm of possibility that Shana could pull off an upset should they meet. Another result of note was a draw between Ehrinn Cummings and rookie Kelly Rohrbach, which was enough to send Kelly on to the Knockout Stage by virtue of the tiebreaker, Average Vote Percentage. Dominique Piek, a personal favorite, will also move on after an impressive performance against Frankie Rayder. Dominique’s First Round opponent will be Marloes Horst, which is no easy task. The winner of that one will face #14 Hannah Ferguson, so it gets no easier from there! Other tickets to the Knockout Stage were punched for French cutie Aurelie Claudel, sultry Alyssa Miller, and SI legend Cheryl Tiegs. alluringbeauties Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 Catching up on these results, which I tried to post during the board outage earlier... Group Stage Group 48: Melissa Haro (100.0%) defeated Sue Peterson (0.0%) Group 6: Petra Nemcova (86.5%) defeated Jessica Hart (13.5%)#6 Petra Nemcova advances to the Knockout Stage Group 72: Ariel Meredith (73.8%) defeated Kara Young (26.2%)Ariel Meredith advances to the Knockout Stage My spin: Melissa Haro earned a clean sheet against Sue Peterson, but it was for pride and ranking only, since Melissa Baker had already advanced from Group 48. #6 Petra Nemcova had a very dominant performance against a decent challenger in Jessica Hart and advances to the Knockout Stage. Finally, Ariel Meredith also punched her ticket after her victory over Kara Young. Ariel’s victory comes as no surprise given a relatively weak group, but she’ll face a tough one in her first Knockout Stage match: Lauren Mellor. Quote

alluringbeauties Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 Today’s results are in! Group Stage Group 75: Ana Beatriz Barros (72.8%) defeated Melissa Keller (27.2%)Ana Beatriz Barros advances to the Knockout Stage Group 31: Jessica Gomes (90.1%) defeated Margaux Hemingway (9.9%)Jessica Gomes advances to the Knockout Stage Group 56: Isabeli Fontana (80.1%) defeated Suzy Smith (19.9%)Isabeli Fontana advances to the Knockout Stage Group 24: #24 Sara Sampaio (63.3%) defeated Karen Mulder (36.7%)#24 Sara Sampaio advances to the Knockout Stage Group 64: Gigi Hadid (65.1%) defeated Carol Alt (34.9%)Gigi Hadid advances to the Knockout Stage Group 70: Amber Smith & Monika Schnarre drew (50.0% each)Monika Schnarre advances to the Knockout Stage My spin: Well, we had a statistical oddity today! Monika Schnarre and Amber Smith drew in their match, so the tiebreaker was necessary to settle the Group 70 title. The tiebreaker: Average Vote Percentage. Oops! Both had identical vote percentages against Sunny Bippus, and obviously had identical percentages versus each other! So, the tiebreaker couldn’t even settle the tie. The decider ended up being random.org, and by the luck of the draw, Monika Schnarre advances to the Knockout Stage, where she’ll face the Group 18 winner: either #18 Vendela Kirsebom or Niki Taylor. Gigi Hadid won the battle of the eras, as she took care of 80’s supermodel Carol Alt in surprisingly easy fashion. In the First Round of the Knockout Stage, Gigi will have her hands full with another 80’s supermodel, Cindy Crawford. The other four winners are all legit contenders to win one or more matches in the Knockout Stage, as #24 Sara Sampaio, Isabeli Fontana, Ana Beatriz Barros, and Jessica Gomes all punched their tickets to the Knockout Stage. There could also be tie breaker rounds for when there are ties - like having one of the people in the tie have a poll where they compete with someone who the other person has already competed against but they haven't. If they have a higher score than the person they were tied with did against that person - they advance. Quote

There have been very few of the big names knocked out so far. Julie Henderson (#23) is the only Top 25 model knocked out so far. Some of the others haven't advanced yet, but they also haven't been knocked out. My (play) money is on Nina Agdal. Secretly, I hope Dominique Piek and Vendela make deep runs, too. Quote
