Nice Sig, Cain.

Also, I am extremely excited for this book, but am I the only one who is a bit crazy about the fact they haven't even released a synopsis for th book?

I mean come on, the last book had a virtually spoiler-free synopsis, so I don't understand why they can't do the same for this new one.

We have been waiting patiently for more than two years with only a few chapter titles (that give away LESS than nothing).

I just wish they would allow the fans something to get excited about before the book comes out.

At this point, I think we're all frothing at the mouth, but we'd be satiated by a simple book jacket synopsis.

But that's too much to ask of what will irregardless be one of the best sellers of all time (probably in the first couple days, too).

and SS/PS is my second least favorite book.

1. Goblet

2. OotP

3. Chamber

4. SS/PS

5. PoA

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Cain, you're crazy

J/k, but I have always felt that POA was the best book.

Why don't you like it?

By the by, the only difference in our lists would be I would put POA at the top, and push everything else down one position.

To me POA wasted an entire book just to tell us that Sirius Black is Harry's godfather and that Wormtail was really alive. It had NOTHING to do with Lord Voldermort.

I think its been made clear that some stunning revelations will come to pass in this book, and it would be too much of a spoiler to write a synopsis of the book. Theres been silly security around this release, so something big must happen that she does not wanna spoil with a synopsis.

This book's plot, as you will recall J.K saying, was originally planed for CoS, as well as it's original title, but it was too much too early. I guess she thought that was enough of a synopsis.

See, if you ask me, the twist at the end of POA (in the shrieking shack) trumps every other scene in the series of books (arguably with the exception of maybe the GOF ending)

Cause there was so much we didnt know until that scene, and the way it was divulged, I thought it was pure genius. That combined with patronus, and the time-turner, I thought it was brilliant.

But hey, to each his own.

If you ask me, the more I reflect upon it, the more I think OOTP was filler.

yeah sirius died, and there were some important things, but if anything, i feel that book was the one where nothing happened. It was extremely well-written (in my opinion, better than the rest), but that doesnt make up for the lack of focus in the narrative.

And come on, the "prophecy" was about as unexpected as a baby nine months after getting pregnant.

Well the book is called "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", not "Lord Voldemort and the prisoner of azkaban."

I'm on chapter thirteen and I've only had the book for like five hours. :ninja:
