SympathysSilhouette Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Interesting. Reince Priebus represented the GOPs hope that they could control the loose canon Trump a bit, but quite obviously the early days of his presidency have suggested that Bannon is the dominant voice in the West Wing. But this statement seems more like wishful thinking than anything else. Quote

SympathysSilhouette Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 It's not really about media attacks, the stuff with the Mexican president and the PM of Australia are pretty unprecedented. Quote
Michael* Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Bearing in mind what an inauspicious start Trump has made to his presidency in those two weeks, I don't know if you could consider the reaction to be entirely overblown. He may yet confound some of our expectations, but as things stand, it's pretty hard to say there’s nothing at all to be concerned about. Quote
PinkCouture Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Arnold throwing shade back at Donnie's comment at the prayer breakfast. This was what Donnie said: “We had tremendous success on The Apprentice, and when I ran for president, I had to leave the show. That’s when I knew for sure I was doing it. And they hired a big, big movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to take my place, and we know how that turned out. The ratings went right down the tubes, it’s been a total disaster, and Mark will never, ever bet against Trump again.” Arnold's Response: And he wasn't done. His rep released this statement: Arnold is praying that President Trump can start improving his own approval ratings, which were the worst in history for an incoming president, by taking his job seriously and working inclusively. 17 Moments of Spring Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 So they surely need Egypt to be a member of a coalition against Iran. They would probably be glad to have Turkey too, but that ship has gone. (for now?) Iran is the enemy of Israel and the Saudis, that's why. Quote
