How The Competition Was Scored

 

The scores were based on the following phases:

1. Phase I: Ranking
2. Phase II: Rating

 

There were 2 bonus points opportunities. The main purpose was to help the low scorers gain a few extra points and to confirm some of the results of the scoring phases:

Good choice for a cover.

 

Some of the others were good photos, but not great for a cover.

That Emily photo did well from the very beginning As the phases/rounds progressed it further confirmed that photo was the one voters thought was most cover-worthy Regardless of bonuses, there was no way any other photo could have beaten Emily's   It's definitely a great photo and much better than any of the cover photos in recent years Congrats @lostdiadem for nominating the winning photo!!!

Congrats to Emily, that is a great picture, and looks great on the mockup cover!! Hannah's images were cover worthy too, seems fitting she ranked so high!
