Enrico_sw Posted May 6, 2019 Author Posted May 6, 2019 ^ Yes, it's a Myazaki movie called Porco Rosso (it's Italian for "Red Pig"). It's about a pilot in Italy between WW1 and 2. It's not my favorite movie, but the OST is great. Quote
Cult Icon Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I think I saw that film when I was a small child lol!! It's been a while. IIRC "Castle in the Sky" has similar music Quote

Alien 1,2 & 3 are great. #1 is darkness, silence and surprise. They are alone. In space. They discover an alien being. The movie soundscape is made of shifts between silence and noise. Spoiler #2 is darkness, slience and fire. They are an army squad and they discover an alien nest. The soundscape is more a shift between calm and action. Spoiler #3 is darkness, silence and hunting. They are in a prison, where an alien being is chasing them. It's a hunt where everybody is hunter and hunted. The soundscape is more complex, because there are silence/action shifts, but there's also a shift between distrust/brotherhood. Spoiler Quote
Cult Icon Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 @Enrico_sw Alien 3: not really TBH. Sounds too generic. I don't recall liking the Alien/Aliens' soundtrack all that much; I prefer Blade Runner's soundtrack. Speaking of classic Sci-Fi, recently I listened to "Tibetan book of the Dead" and it looks like the ending of 2001 Space Odyssey was inspired by Buddhist Death processes. Quote
Cult Icon Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 I like channel and they recently uploaded this: BB/TDK are still the best superhero movies for me, and I admire TKR for its ambition @Enrico_sw Quote
