Tbh i wouldn't be mad if they don't do a show next year. They have a new CEO that needs to adapt to the company.... Don't do the show for one year, use that money to make the brand better, make changes on the team, organize everything and then see if the show is still worth doing it.

I’m totally with it. Gives them MORE than enough time to get their shit together, fire some people (Sophia, Ed and Monica byeeee), hire a whole new creative team, get rid of some useless Angels and boring ass regulars and introduce a fresh new lineup and also distribute that money to something more meaningful for the brand. Kinda like how there wasn’t a 2004 show but in 2005...they made sure to come back with a BANG

I don't think adding "diversity" will help the show, is not like SI's so called diversity is helping them sell more magazines or rack more views in their social media . I think the problem with VS is that they did very little promo and they haven't focused on building up their Angels. If I was VS, I'd skip the show next year and do another Angel's Across America tour, make people know and connect with their Angels, then come back with a big show for 2020 with a good budget and a solid Angels team.

 

I think VS is also fucking up by not moving to streaming services like Hulu or Netflix, their target audience (i.e women like me in their 20's who can actually afford their $60 bras, not the teens who OMG LOVE LOVE ROMEE QUEEN YESSSS!! SARA GODDESSS!!! ELSA SKINNY LEGEND I DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! but don't have a steady paycheck) won't watch tv these days, however, put this on Netflix and I will 100% watch it the day it comes out. But making me remember to tune in and stay awake for a TV show? HARD PASS. Only GOT can make me do that. It would also make the show available to a bigger audience at the same time.

It’s actually shocking that despite all the “fame” and “popularity” the nepotism girls possess, they are incapable of attracting more viewers, this goes to show that their influence is make-believe. You gotta hand it to their PR teams though.

We all knew the ratings is gonna take a nosedive, but 3 million ppl is still a lot for a lingerie show.

I bet their competitors wish they could flop like this They’re still the leader in the industry.

One thing for sure is that they have to stop saying VS is "the most watched fashion show on earth" "BILLIONS of people see the show every year" "the sexiest night on television"... It's embarrassing at this point

Watching it now, the Golden Angel and Flights of Fancy segments look pretty damned good, actually.

Jo's face in the Mary K segment is just priceless, I bet girlfriend was pissed at having to wear this abomination of an outfit and for a good reason.

And I actually liked Alexina's infamous end of the runway pose.

 

Stella, Barbara, Ming and Lo in succession was a treat plus a quick cut to Georgia dancing backstage.

 

Stella's opening was pretty bad and Taylor's was so meh.

 

Damn, Jourdana looks so much better with dark hair, I barely recognized her.

 

Myrthe shaking her boobs so enthusiastically was kind of awesome, please keep her VS.

 

"VS is empowering" - said at the very start of the broadcast. At this point I think they are trolling the people who demand more diversity in the show and I kind of approve that.

 

Music doesn't seem bad but again, there is really no need for live performances and especially for cuts to the performers every few seconds.

 

They didn't show Barbara's boyfriend in the crowd but showed (I think) Kris Jenner?!? Fail, VS, epic fail

Does the general public care about these things though? Most of the general public that may watch the show every year but isn’t necessarily invested in the brand or its models most likely doesn’t care about Behati, know her name, or know that she was returning from anything. Adriana’s probably the only angel they could name but still probably didn’t see her farewell as a huuuuuge deal. The nepo models have large fan bases but I wouldn’t say most of those fans need to watch the show to get their fix of these girls. And Shawn Mendes may have a bunch of fan girls, but his recent comments regarding his sexuality left a bitter taste in a lot of fans’ mouths, and frankly his celeb status is much lower than other male pop stars like him in their prime

Hopefully, VS stops listening to delusional fans on forums and social media who love any and everything VS models does even if it is literally nothing.........and start listening to constructive criticism and "negativity"....also, Ed, Sophia, and Monica....OUT!
