I've got trouble with the upload everytime with big pictures. But that seems to be a Firefox problem. What browser are you using? I've got a user agent switch and change to Internet Explorer when I need to post bigger sized pics.

If you don't have a software for working with pictures, you could use irfanview, it's very easy to handle and free to download
