Behind the Scenes – Candice Swanepoel getting ready for the Met Gala

Fresh from a shoot in the Caribbean, even sans make-up, Candice looked radiant.

As she has her make-up applied, Candice checks out her custom-made rag and bone clutch for the evening. The small black evening zip clutch is made from stingray with a gunmetal mirror lambskin interior.

A light coat of mascara finishes Candice’s look for the evening.

A relaxed Candice takes a moment before changing into the dress.

A selection of shoes to pick from.

Jewelry is kept to a minimum – Candice wears rings by Lorraine Schwartz.

A last minute check of the dress.

Inspired by Elsa Schiaparelli’s skeleton dress, the back is the focal point of the high-neck Royal blue crepe silk gown which has navy silk paneling. The full length gown also has a lace overlay and elegant chiffon godets.

The lace, which was sourced in Switzerland, has been delicately attached to an exposed zip on the spine.

Almost ready to go.

The guys changed, there’s time for one last photo before they leave for the Met.
