Strawberry BigMac Posted January 19, 2007 Author Posted January 19, 2007 ²Strawberry: In Russia "Zhenya" is a pet form of Eugenia ahh thanks Quote
Strawberry BigMac Posted January 25, 2007 Author Posted January 25, 2007 I'm starting to see Karolina Kurkova all over the place. ...Hana Souku too....i think she is starting to gain weight and im diggin that too. Quote
ILOVETrentini Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 The dont have supermodels anymore because these twigs dont have bodies like CLaudia Schiffer, Stephanie Seymour and Naomi Campbell....they had butts and boobs and face and legs.. These new girls just have face and legs I used to think that too, but now I don't think that's fair. I respect your opinion, but not EVERY model has the body of a 10-year-old boy. Some do, sure, but non-models can be flat or skinny without being anorexic so I don't see why this can't be applicable to models.. There are LOTS of well-endowed models, as well, like Flavia, Miranda, Caroline T, Eugenia V, Doutzen K, Izabel, Daria, Elise, Morgane, Isabeli, Jeisa, Anja, Oluchi, , Marija, and Fabiana to name a few... Strawberry BigMac Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 <------ A real supermodel body (CLaudia Schiffer) She is Rail thin but she has T and A Quote
Jennka Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Well i'm not saying they are anorexic they just have different body types. And I dont think there is many guys that would take a superskinny girl over a Jessica Alba.Flavia, Eugenia, Izabel, Daria, Elise, Morgan, Jeisa ,Anja, Lili and Mirija...al those girls are super high fashion and have no curves at all. They aren't even versitile enough to do anything maistream. They are sticks that are great for fashion. Daria and Caroline... maybe some day but the rest of them best stick to appealing to gay casting directors and women. <------ A real supermodel body (CLaudia Schiffer) She is Rail thin but she has T and A Sorry, but Claudia has an average ugly face that scares me everytime I see it you´re beeing ridiculous more and more Flavia, Eugenia, Izabel, Daria, Elise, Morgan, Jeisa ,Anja, Lili and Mirija - sticks? Eugenia?? STICK?? oh man :D  Quote
rouge red Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I could live with most names on that list. but eugenia just isn't true! I'm one of the defenders of curves and am super critical about all the stick girls, but Eugenia HAS curves, she HAS a great body. Quote
ILOVETrentini Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 <------ A real supermodel body (CLaudia Schiffer) She is Rail thin but she has T and A I'm sorry but I don't understand.. why can Claudia be rail thin with boobs and whatnot, but if Iza, Eugenia, or any other model is in the same condition or whatever it's wrong? Eugenia isn't one of my favourite models so I'm not being biased, but she's got one of the BEST bodies. Quote
Jennka Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 don´t take me wrong, but models are not supposed to look like beyonce you know, I LOVE Beyonce, I adore her, think she´s wonderful and awesome, and beautiful but models are models, they´re supposed to be thin (not anorectic) look on Kate Moss - curves?? not at all. Still she´s a supermodel, she´s like... THE Kate Moss! Anyway, there are still many models that have curves and are exqusite and beautiful, like Gisele, Daria, Alessandra, Doutzen, Eugenia, Ana, Adriana, Natalia and Karolina, and many more!! I think models are coming back on magazine covers, but it will take a little time still, because movie industry is really strong, and what people want to see? Movie star from their favourite movie. It´s a fashion turn now to fight... Quote
ILOVETrentini Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I think you're standards are set to high. What do you consider to be 'curvy'? A C-cup? A double-d? Because I don't think any of the supermodels had those, either. Quote
Taben Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Strawberry BigMac i understand you're trying to prove your point but some of your arguments are just ridiculous... not to mention that it's not fair to use pics that are several years old...OK the supermodels were curvier but there are still curvy girls on that planet, yet Victoria's Secret, the biggest seller of lingerie in the world chooses to put girls like gisele, alessandra, izabel or even high fashion icons like eugenia and natasha poly in their catalogs... there has to be a reason, right ? those girls sell, because their bodies are what a lot of women dream of, and don't start with the "they want those body because it's the image that the media shows" shit, because i'm 100% that nobody would like to be obese even if VS started to use obese models...I'm so sick of that "real women have curves and if you don't you're not a real woman because you're completely unattractive"... ppl always talk about curvy women feeling bad because their bodies are curvier than the image promoted by the fashion world, but what about that anti-slim girls racism ? not all girls (and i'm not talking about anorexic girls) have big boobs and butts, and that doesn't make them unattractive. Not to mention that a lot of FHM girls with so-called perfect bodies are butterfaces...And saying that models like eugenia, daria or natalia only appeal to gay men and women is plain stupid, a lot of straight guys like lean, slim bodies and refined beauty.Just because you're average stripper is a curvy butterface and your average guy will be aroused by it doesn't mean everybody likes that. Some high fashion girls are sticks (but i still wouldn't say they've got the body of "a 10year old boy"...) but other have curves and even if they're not huge curves like pamela anderson's i think they're refined and sexy curves..and just look at candids of Lily cole, eugenia, anja or caroline trentini (just to name a few) and you'll see that they've got great breasts Quote
Jennka Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Your opinions boggles my mind too no offense, Straw, but you´re a "one-type" kind of woman, aren´t you? All you´re talking about is "curves, curves, cuuurves hella curves" - in some kind of way, I perceive you, I really do, but...you´re beeing ridiculous in the other kind of way to me. woman´s beauty is not determined only by curves. To be honest, I would MUCH rather look like Gisele then Beyonce. But that´s because I like that type of body more, it´s more beautiful to ME. It´s personal, ALWAYS it´s personal, when speaking generally...let me see. E.G. - Gisele is the highest paid model now. Right? Not just because she works hard, but because designers wants her - why? Because she´s a great trade mark. Why? Because people look up to her. Why? Because they´ve found her beautiful and - this is important - FAMOUS. Everyone wants what famous people have. Next thing - people (mainly women) rather see curvy models. Why? Because they can tell "Yeah, she´s like me, and she´s a model, whow!!" They are somehow...closer to the average women, and this is good on one side, but bad on the other side. Why? Because woman doesn´t have to be curvy to be beautiful, and when this kind of people see a beautiful but thin woman, they started to envy ( I dunno why, but it´s always like that), they start to call her anorectic and so on...people can be bastards when it goes to beauty. And here´s the point when they rather prefer a curvy one. Speaking in general. I hate when there are only skinny looking models on the runway. And I would also hate when there would be only curvy-models. I love variableness, it´s the most beautiful thing on the whole world we have. It means everyone can find what he likes, because we are all people of different tastes, someone likes curvy, someone likes skinny or thin...and some people tend to talk " I like curvy woman, it´s healthy" just because that´s the sentence everyone wants to hear. But frankly, he would rather pick thin than curvy. This whole "anorectic" thing is beeing more and more ridiculous. I admit is great to fight against it, but some peple just overdo it, you know? And when fighting against anorexia, why there is no fight against obesity? Why do we hate and slash thin women, but feel sorry for fat one? (I mean, really obese people) and the covers thing? It´s all about popularity. Not beauty. Make some scandal, you´ll be on cover. That´s how it goes now. And honestly, people will always be obssesed with fashion, and beauty. No matter how the models will look like. It´s all about beauty nowadays, and I think it´s gonna get stronger and stronger every year. Unfortunately... I always try not to be superficial, but I always fail. It´s shame, but it´s true - I look at a man and first thing that strikes me is how he/she looks. It´s all in my eyes, I can´t help it, and even when most people say "I´m not interested in beauty, it´s the soul that counts, it´s all about the inner beauty" it´s not true. I could go on and on in this, but I think we all know what I´m talkin about. All I wanted to say is, that I hate the "one type of view". There are many versions of beauty, and if models, quote Models are supposed to be the epitome of beeauty in body and face....their supposed to have it all. then there should be ALL KIND of models. (NOT anorectic, again) You know? How can naturally thin, not curvy girl look up to model who is curvy and etc... ? I think it would just hurt her, why she is not like her, blah blah blah, just like when curvy girl looks up to a slim thin model and stop to eat. It´s not right, in ANY of this ways. Be beautiful the way you are, that´s the thing people should know! Are you skinny? Ok! Are you curvy? Why not!! Everythin is beautiful! Universal beauty?? Fuck with it!! :D sorry for the loooooong looong reading guys... Quote
Strawberry BigMac Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 . Gisele no doubt has a nice body. Quote
Jennka Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I know what you mean - when I look on some runways and see only skeletons, it freaks me out I´m touch and go to run there with stakes and chocolates, screaming like a mad PETA member and trying to feed them Quote
