It seems that they're mostly dealing with optimisation/visual bugs. This is due to multi-platform coding; I guess it's hard to optimize for several consoles / console gens and PC at the same time. People are less angry on Steam (notes are "very positive" now), but bugs are still being reported. Quote

Cult Icon Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 It doesn't seem like the bugs are as serious as cyberpunk though? One thing about the story- which I am trying to get a handle on- is that it is very confusing. It can be vaguely understood at a surface level but undernealth there are all sorts of things going on. Also, the writers intentionally made the characters confusing, such as giving a lot of the Demi-Gods similar sounding names. The NPCs have strange and unexpected questlines, and some of the NPCs are more important to the main story than others. 4 out of 5 characters talked about in the intro cinematic are not regular bosses but characters with questlines. The "Ever Brilliant Goldmask" and the Loathsome Dung Eater are the most illusive NPCs so far for youtubers. Quote

Cult Icon Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 The Souls community/youtube/wikia are still confused about the details of the Elden Ring story and its countless secrets about its characters and lore. New endings are being discovered as the days pass. I believe this tendency to have characters with a lot of twist- like mysteries was intentional and is a trait of GRRM's writing. Also some NPC questlines are very promising but are undiscovered, like Sir Gideon and N- Loux. My theory about these two characters: Spoiler They are Spoiler related some how. I thought that they were the same person but in the game Ranni's real body/corpse is found. Quote

There were also a Stalinist faction (called the red line). They were ruthless as well. In fact all factions are pretty much ruthless in the Metro universe Quote

All the intro cinematic endings have been done except for Gideon. Gideon's ending likely has relationships with Kenneth and Neferi's. That's sad to hear I have very little spare time these days, so I was gonna favor Elden Ring over Horizon anyway (but I haven't bought Elden Ring yet - not much time, and I haven't seen clear news indicating that all the bugs on PC are corrected by the last patches). The Horizon 2 story vid did not make it appealing at all, also the game is a bit woke in its character design selection. For the most part, I understand the story of Elden Ring and the almost all of its NPC questlines right now. That's what I focused on since release. I have seen a lot of the bosses. Beyond that I haven't seen much else. Quote
