I have zero hopes about it.

Fallout is one of the IPs I loved the most. But since Fallout 76 (and Bethesda's rip-off), I have zero hopes. And of course Jeff Bezos (the billionaire friend of all the franchise killers that I detest) is part of this scam.

If they had partnered with Disney as well, the sinister mafia would've been complete

(Sorry to be the naysayer again, but I just can't... :ninja:)

My main issue with it is Jonathan Nolan.

A staple of the series - right back to its pre-Bethesda origins with the original Interplay game - has been its dark sense of humor.

Whereas I don't think Nolan does comedy well. And I especially doubt he will nail Fallout's specific tone.

He did Westworld, didn't he?

Amazon's The Boys is quite good but Rings of Power is a stinker.

Interplay's fallout 1 and 2, and Fallout New vegas (by Obsidian which was founded by former interplay employees) were the best.

Fallout 3 and 4 were already a downgrade, but still alright. My main issue is that Bethesda developers think that players are too dumb for complex choices... (and the graphics were bad too).

Amazon is incapable of doing dark humor because it's too politically incorrect. Same for Bethesda. Nolan is a minor problem if there are good writers with him, but I'm sure it won't be the case. Hollywood writers in 2022 are terrible.

Well to be fair Bethesda has always been a bit janky. To some it's part of their appeal.

So I never was bothered by the lack of polish in Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.

I thought the writing was the biggest issue with Fallout 4. Just no truly compelling main quest lines. Perhaps the Railroad was the most interesting of the ones you could choose from but that seemed to have fewer big quests.

I liked the settlement game dynamic but that was a bit of a side-show (and also got repetitive).

Westworld Season 1 was amazing.  Season 2 was less so.  If it was directed like The Boys it could be good.

There is also "the Last of Us" show, starring Lyannna Mormont and Oberlyn Martell. :p1657735781_802011_1657735886_noticia_nor

The worst thing is that Bethesda thinks that the players are too dumb to understand complex choices. There were plenty of choices in Fallout 1 and 2 with real story impact, not to mention that you could have zillions of dialogue choices (whereas Fallout 4 only had 4 dialog choices and very obvious reaction consequence from the interlocutor.

It's the same in Fallout Shelter (very few choices and no meaningful ones).

Agreed, the settlement was interesting (at first).

Their worst failure (and scam) still is Fallout 76.

You think they would ever remake Fallout 2 (into a 3D version?)

A 3D remake (in the Fallout 4 engine) of the original game is being made by some modders.

This is really cool.  I would have watched Fallout 1 and 2 if it was 3D.  Maybe later.

I want to watch Days Gone, it's supposed to be the best open world zombie game ever made.
