Uff, I have my period right now, and I have the wors cramps ever..this one time I broke down and cried because it feels like someone`s stabbing me with a stick in the stomach   Also, it makes me the bitchiest person in the world when I have it. :(

I feel so bad reading these things! "Feels like someone`s stabbing me with a stick in the stomach." is something nobody should suffer. It is not a shame to broke down and cry, pain breaks anyone. You girls are so brave living with all that pain! All men should experience the cramps and all once so we could understand what you go trough every month. I think men would be much bitchier if had to suffer like you women.

:(

It's great you girls can exhance your experiencies and give advices to each other how to reduce the pain. As a man I can only wish things were better for you girls...

Question: does listening to music help? Is it possible to "forget" the cramps/breats pain if you are doing intensively something interesting. I would try all kind of weird things to reduce the pain if I was a woman.

Haha...if men had cramps, bloating and the works I think they'd be down on their knees wimpering and everyone would be able to miss a full week of work when it's that time

For me, it hurts to sit up when I have cramps, so laying down and watching TV is the best relaxation and it takes my mind off the pain.

Luckily, my period is over with now. Started on Tuesday and ended yesterday. I'm so glad mine are short. They used to be extremely long and heavy when I was a young teen, but now they are short and sweet ( if you can periods sweet ).

When I woke up this morning it felt like my abdomen was trying to knot in on itself. So I drank a glass of milk and laid down with a book and sort of blocked it out. At least the cramps. I never get breast pain.

I would have tried a hot bath too, but our tub is indisposed <_<

I always get breast pain, mostly just a week before. But man, it feels someone has just beat my breasts with a hammer, it hurts for them just to move.

Hot baths are the best. Nothing better than that on your period. Hope you feel better, hon.

When you girls have PMS, does your self esteem kinda take a nose dive?

I really don't have any hang ups about my body, I wear low cut pants and form fitting shirts without feeling self conscious...but yesterday, on the brink of PMS, I had my pants shoved down my hips because I didn't want them touching my fresh tattoo..and my mom goes, "Awww, are your pants getting too tight?" and for some reason that just pissed me off to the core, like she was implying I gained weight

lol after I read that, I see it's pretty irrational, but that's what PMS is right? I just feel...disgusted with my appearance at this time..

I usually just feel gross and I don't really wait people touching me you know? esp. my stomach. But if someone implied I gained weight in a bad way I'd be pissed off anytime of the month hah.

Yeah I definitely get that back off vibe..I spent time with my boyfriend last night and wanted to be affectionate but it's hard when you just feel like...blah..

My mom can be shameless <_< if my pants are down on my hips of course it's going to look different

I'm the say way, I don't like to be touched at all.

Reading all this makes me realize that I'm quite a lucky girl: I barely get cramps, I don't get spots either (tends to happen according to a lot of people) and I don't have moodswings. By that I mean I don't feel self conscious about my body all out of the sudden or like mameha put it: self esteem takes a nose dive. I don't get all that in my period.

The only shitty thing about my PMS is that it's pretty irregular. I never know when it's gonna come, so I always have something with me, should it occur. Would be a disaster if it suddenly started again and I didn't have anything with me.
