moiselles Posted June 20, 2005 Author Posted June 20, 2005 Working out on a regular basis is supposed to help reduce cramping on your period. Quote
mindless_oasis Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 why must i be so lazy? well i consider myself moderately fit, but i wouldn't make too much of a deal out of it...maybe i should start working on that. Quote
shadesofpurple Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 I just recently started working-out and for this months period I didn't have one cramp. My period is usually pretty easy to deal with even if I'm not active. Quote

My period is usually pretty easy to deal with even if I'm not active. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mine isn't, even when I exercise for a few minutes every day. And did you know that during the few days before your period your muscles and ligaments get softer because of the change in the amount of hormones? This means that exercise might not be the best idea just before your period; you can sprain muscles and hurt yourself more easily. Quote
mindless_oasis Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 i've just started my period again not happy Quote

Sheyda Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 I'll be starting in a few days.Oh and I finally managed to ask my doctor about skipping a period (by going straight onto your next pack of pills instead of having seven pill-free days/non-active pills) and she says it doesn't hurt or anything as long as you don't make it a habit; if you skip your period all the time it will take away the calcium from your bones and you'll develop osteoporosis. moiselles Posted June 28, 2005 Author Posted June 28, 2005 Yeah, I've heard that too. So I suppose if you're planning on getting married the week of your period or going on a great vacation, then you could do it. Quote
Sheyda Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Yep! And that's exactly what I plan to do when I go to Rhodes at the the end of July; my doctor even said that having your period in a place as hot as Greece is a very nasty thing. Quote

Tisk tisk what a flaw for women! Quote
Aeneas Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 you guys think that taking blood thinners would make you bleed more, therefore cutting your period by a day or two? just a stupid question... Quote
