Fascinating picture. I guess if Vogue can't work out who the next top models are going to be then no one can.

These women were heavily banked, and five years later..they continue to be. Eerily consistent and in no way a perfectly competitive market...:-D

^I'm not sure I see the connection, or how you can qualify someone as having a 'superbrazilian' look o_O

being really, really good looking? !

^Pah - brasileos, always with their "we're so beautiful" propaganda...

Jennka, did you ever watch The Monkees growing up too? It was another silly show that always seemed to be on during school holidays. I was reminded of it as I'd heard the news that Davy Jones has just died. I liked Mike Nesmith the best, and have lots of his post-Monkees solo albums ( (Y) ), and one of my old writing teachers (the one who was the voice of one of the vultures in The Jungle Book) used to write and play bit-parts in it. I met Davy Jones once too, he was a funny looking little guy and a bit grimey... Anyway - prime Monkees, albeit a Nesmith moment:

Is this the kind of thing that goes on out in your cottage?!!

no, it isn´t - although sometimes, when there are too many people drunk, it might seem so as for the music that is usually played in the cottage - it´s almost everything from country to pop to bluegrass to blues to jazz - depends on which people there are and also instruments.

Do you know the traditional English folk song Greensleeves? I love it, and when fl plays it on Dobro I´m melting. It´s one of my favs

I´ve never seen these Monkees in TV here - and it´s a shame, it looks pretty good and funny. I love the grandma have you eve heard of The Famous Five by Enid Blyton? I loved the books and the TV series were aired here for a while

Lol, you I don´t generally like blondes som I´m quite the opposite here - but I would love to have more redheads in this world

:-D I like some redheads and some Asians, but it usually is a more selective case.

He did live in Africa???

I know very little as he has only disclosed small fragments of his history there. He just keeps it all hidden. He lived in Somali and Congo during the 70s and was a health care worker & English teacher. There was a raw materials for political/governmental patronage thing going on there. Local infrastructure was built- roads, hospitals, utilities, etc. in exchange for raw material concessions.

I remember him talking about the animals he saw, the Land Rover he drove, and the nature of the locals. He learned to speak Swahili there. That's all I know, and attempts to extract more from him have been futile.

I understand, my father is the same. But it does seem fascinating, doesn´t it?

Hey guys I´m still dissapointed by the fact that Jirka uses photomanipulations, but I still love the pics - so here are the recent ones

Jane from Tarzan

jane.jpg

and Alice from Alice in Wonderland:

alice.jpg

I think you're being a little hard on Jirka. This is not just evening skin tone or removing the odd spot, in these images the photos are just a starting point for his art work. These images are supposed to be photorealistic images of Disney princesses and the best way to make them photorealistic is, of coarse, to start with a photo.

I know, it was my fault I thought them for something they wasn´t - but they are gorgeous anyway and you´re right. I love the little Alice, that´s exactly how I imagined her

How are you Tran?

LOL, urban policeman...nice I wonder what that job entails

Ah gracias J, not sure how common a sighting it was but that gives some prospective on the likely hood of seeing such an animal. And good move on the wolves part to avoid human contact, not exactly their best bet to meet with one. And as far as the wild boar goes...here in the states there is actually a problem with over population of wild pigs (boars) to the point where they are destroying farm land for many farmers. Not sure how BIG the problem actually is considering TV shows or news programs tend to hyper excite all stories. But holly mud pile....they can be one hell of an aggressive animal especially the hybrids :knives:

And speaking of foxes...I think i found the perfect bait to reel them in....check out the vid below. Interesting fellow to say the least.

What is he talking about? That fox is just

You know, sometimes I get the feeling that it´s not THEM who are over populated - but it´s actually US, people. We take them their nature, their area... and when it´s said "these or these are overpopulated" it´s a great excuse to shot them down.

^The Monkees weren't always running around in the country! That week's episode was a pastiche on Mike Nesmith's 'country' roots - they were always running around though, in these little skits to fit in with whatever song off their albums was being promoted... They're hailed as the first "manufactured" band, as they didn't really play on their early songs. You probably know some of their more famous songs though: like Daydream Believer and I'm A Believer? (nb. Not all their songs have 'Believer' in their title! )

Yes, I know The Famous Five. I preferred your recent version though with yourself, Daria, Behati, Gisele and some random dog! That would be a TV series I'd avidly watch!

He's just crazy like a fox I guess

No doubt that mankind has its reaches on every part of this planet now. We just need to keep balance with nature and give back as much as we take from it or else . And such a horrid fact to know these beautiful animals are hunted for mere sport. I can understand a hunt to feed ones family or self but just for sport...I never was to fond of that idea.

Yeah, hampsters aren't bad at all . They must not have great metabolism though since they really hump it on that wheel and still don't lose any weight. Looks aren't everything of course but then again they look better round anyway.

Jennka, how do you feel about insects when you're in the woods? I am seriously phobic of them!

Do you fortify your cottage against the insects?

I hate them I don´t mind bees or even hornets (they aren´t agressive - we have them for half a year in our cottage and not one bite) - and I really love bumble bees but I hate hate hate gnats and wasps, they are aggresive and dangerous

we never fortify the timber hut, nor the cottage in Myjava, we usually use a repelent called "Suka" that´s great for fishermen and even greater for woods. Of course you never prevent all the bites, but most of them at least but after time, you get used to it a bit... and smoke a lot
