So... My girlfriend has been using contraceptive pills and they are incredibly safe. However, sometimes when we're not sure about the safety (like when she's ill and taking other medicines), we additionally use a condom. But it's pills in the first place for us.

Condoms are always a good idea... unles you ARE trying to get pregnant.

Contraception isn't the only thing peoples gots to worry about. There I would weigh AIDS as something a lot worse than a parasite that leaves your body 9 months later and continues to leech off you for the next 18 years.

PS. THE PULLOUT METHOD DOESN'T WORK!!!

Birth Control Pills. (Y)

We use the pull out method sometimes, not as a form of birth control... :brows:

Getting the pill Thursday

I've been using condoms though.

Do you guys think i can stop using them once i'm on the pill ?

Or it isn't safe enough and i should use both ?

The pill is 99% effective. It sounds like a lot, but that means every 1 in 100 times you have sex while on the pill you will get pregnant and that is without taking into account human error. So it is best to use both pills and condoms.

for the first few times we used condoms (i wasnt on the pill but even if i had been on the pill i would have used one) but now im on the pill and we're not using condoms anymore...so much nicer without them...not only the feeling but u dont have to stop and get a condom...or worry about taking one just in case...

omg 3 people already votet that they don't use contraception?

I'm sorry but I find that very irresponsible.

Guys it's not only about getting knocked up - there are a hell lot of diseases, too.

At least if you don't know the people that well you should use condoms I think.

pills + condoms!

Well, when i was with my ex we went to the clinic together for me to get my perscription and for the both of us to get tested before we stopped using condoms.. but you never know, even if you are in a 'monogamous' relationship, one of you might cheat.. it's tricky. Better to use both.

M-

We don't use birth control. Its rather pointless for us. My partner and I have been together for nine years. We are both in great physical shape and get complete medical checkups regularly. We are a rather typical married couple in that regard.
