i've gotten the gel ones with this white polish at the edge of the nail.

but idk.. i don't think they look as good as the acrylic ones.

and keep in mind that i hardly know something about fake nails..

so any advice is welcome.

now.. which one do you prefer? (acrylic or gel)

and if you wanna add something else that'll b awesome (:

I get acrylic. I love them. I just had mine done on Tuesday. I can't stand my real nails (plus I have this nasty habit of picking the dry skin around my nail beds, so it gets red and just ... not attractive when I don't have acrylic nails on).

If you can grow your nails long yourself it is probably best to keep them natural and get them manicured that way. I've heard and read that if you keep false nails for a long time the chemicals damage your nails and they become very thin from having to be filed down every time a new false nail needs to be applied. Once you decide to take the false nails off your real nails will be very weak and brittle. Gel nails are more expensive and you have to wait for them to grow to get them removed, but there is a much lower risk of damaging your nails.
