This is all a bunch of stuff that just needs to be taken care of for maintenance.
My justification for Pinky's promotion = With the loss of OriginalSin and the disappearance of CaptSnow and the decreased participation by me I feel that we need someone that is fit to take care of all the things that are located in the Admin Control Panel. She is the most fit among the other moderators due to her experience with IPB as well as her dominating statistics in terms of moderator tasks.
VOTE QUICKLY so that we can decide on Moderator nominees and such.

Yes to everything from me ![]()
pinky FTW! ![]()

Demote Capt Snow?
What happened to him anyways???
Anyways, I have no opinion regarding should he stay or go.
Promote Pinky to Admin status permanently?
I am fine with whatever you all decide ![]()
Obtain Two new moderators?
We don't need two...maybe one. The reason I say this is there is only one member I have in mind to promote, Dajana. She is always reporting posts, so might as well make her mod ![]()
Yes x3 (Y)
I agree about Dajana ![]()

No to Capt demotion, there isn't really a need to, is there? Unless you somehow fear that his account might be abused my someone else, which is highly unlikely.
Yes to Pinky admin!
Most certainly the most suitable candidate out of the current mod-pool. ![]()
I voted for one extra moderator as well, but I would like to broaden the scope to more than just Dajana. Shouldn't we give the chance to more people to apply? I can't believe she is the only suitable candidate. And it's true she reports a lot of posts, but she has also attacked the staff publicly, which kinda makes me less eager to make her part of the team. Simply put, she's been fishing for a moderator position a bit too much for my liking. Now, if you all feel she'd make a great mod then I'll gladly follow the rest of you, but if we do add a mod, I'd at least want to give some other people the chance to apply...

^ You do have a point about Dajana. Another person who has been fishing for a mod position is Carmelita (sp???) I object to her being a mod since she too did publicly attack the staff, and right after she did that she started a model bashing thread---WTF?!? :|
Maybe we each should nominate 2 potential members and go from there ![]()

We need to come up with a certain amount of time a staff member can just go on hiatus for w/o being demoted. It is simply pointless for us to keep staff around that don't even come to the forum anymore.
When a staff member DOES return and IF they ask for their position...we'll put it up for vote for reinstatement?
The way that the moderator thing should work out is that we should put up an announcement....maybe asking people to fill out certain questions for us...and then we can vote on the applicants...i feel it works better than nominations.

Well, it sounds alright to me. Perhaps we could do it in two stages. First we see who sends in applications and whose answers we like. Then we discuss the candidates we keep from that first round and after we've all made our case for and against (some of) those candidates, we then put it to a vote? That way we can already weed out the obviously bad candidates in the first phase and devote more time to discussing the serious candidates.

Oh, and as for the hiatus time, how about this: if a staff member knows he'll be gone or too busy for a fixed period, then we keep him or her on, but if he or she fails to return after said period or just leaves without giving any sort of notice for a long period of time, then we demote them?

My thoughts exactly

I think we were separated at birth or something b/c I had the same suggestion :|
