Since many of us are discussing the topic of The Pill and the Depo shot in the "That Time Of The Month" thread, I thought it would be best that birth control got it's own thread.

I get my birth control pills for $15. The pharmacy gave me the same drug, just a different name so it's cheaper.

Yeah, they used to be $30 when I first got them. But they've been $15 for at least two years now.

In Britain you get the birth control pill for free until you're 18, but if you go into full-time education at sixth form college and on to university, you still get it for free. So, I won't be paying for it for another two years.

Yeah I know about it, But I wouldn't want anything like that implanted inside of my arm. I'm happy with the patch and the pill. Lol

I've never heard of this implant thing. It sounds scary.

i'd be afraid i'd do the pill wrong, like take it at the wrong time, and end up pregnant...so that scares me about the pill.

It`s very small and very save. And it works for about 2 years. If I were a woman, I woul talk with my doc about this.

It's just a matter of being responsible enough to remember to take it. I've been on the pill for three years.

LOL! you can't take the wrong pill they are color coordinated and you have to start with the yellow ones first. Beginning of the week so says the packet. and if you forget to take it, you have to double up take the one you missed plus the next day.

Yeah, the pills are pretty easy to take. Just have to remember to take them on time. I take mine before I go to bed. But I think most people take them first thing in the morning.
