Okay, I might be making this a bigger problem than it is, but I have videos that are longer than 10 minutes and I think Youtube will reject them if I try to upload them (their rules, I guess) so when I tried to cut the videos in half on Movie Maker, it told me that they couldn't be imported. I'm guessing it's the codecs. My videos are in .flv format....how in the world can I change that to something that Movie Maker will accept so I can cut these vids in half? It's a favor for somebody and I will be eternally grateful for any help

I had the same problem, so I downloaded K-lite codec pack here and it works now:

You should choose this one:

Download [ K-Lite Codec Pack 3.3.0 FULL ]
