Show Description
Counter-terrorism agent Jack Bauer fights the bad guys of the world, one day at a time. With episodes unfolding in real time, "24" covers one day in the life of Bauer and the CTU per season. After foiling an assassination plot against Sen. David Palmer in season one, Bauer stopped a nuclear catastrophe in season two -- while now-President Palmer tries to keep the U.S. from going to war. Season three found Jack facing a former ally who was threatening to unleash a lethal virus in a number of major cities.
2 hour season 4 premiere on Sunday January 9th and episode2 airs in its new time period Monday, January 10th on Fox as before.

Chloe was "fired" in the beginning of the season because she helped Jack when CTU was trying to locate him and stop him from... doing what Jack does. I think at that point he was robbing a convenience store to get to some terrorist that was in the store. He didn't want CTU to know about it because you know how those government types are. They're always getting in the way. He only trusted Chloe, and Chloe never told her superiors at CTU, so when they found out she had been helping him, she was fired.
