What do you think of couples where it's pretty obvious that the woman is dating a guy only for his money? Say, a pert 22-year-old blonde with an 80-year-old man with an abundance of riches.

I think it's really sad that our society almost encourages it and a lot of men are frustrated because they think the only way to get a woman "that hot" is to get rich. And quite a few women think it's a superb idea to primp themselves for a 'sugar daddy' and just live off of him. Both sides are guilty of being shallow because on the guy's side, he's focusing on his girlfriend/wife's looks.

mameha thats so true!, thank god I wasn't born like one of those girls personally I can't be dependent on no man it doesn't seem right, I'm more of an independent gal, and as for guys it's true that they focus on how their girl looks, but i think we're all guilty of that. I know in my future that I wouldn't judge my BF by how much money he has, and I'm happy that you've found someone that cares for you and makes you happy...aww..love...

the 14 year old wearing that gold diggers, I think they cannot deal with money, as daddy just has it, and they are way away from values like honour, honesty, friendship and so on. Superficiel kids. I know what I am talking about, i am scout leader, i take care of 15 kids at the age of 14-15. the good thing about them is as they are scouts since more than 5 years, they know those values. But its tough for them to promote those in school or whereever, as theyr classmates really don't care, its just about Prada, D and G and so on

Very much so...every single one of his exes was a golddigger. I totally agree with what you said, it's very depressing how many young girls are acting right now.

Right now I'm reading a book by Michael Marmot, The Status Syndrome and he has a theory that men pursue higher level jobs to gain social dominance and have "more resources to provide for his wife/girlfriend and be a caregiver to his children." He implies that a man will be most successful dating if he has loads of $$$. And he implies that women will automatically be attracted to a rich guy which is like arrggh.
