Francis does not have to do porn; he is one of the most popular and highest paid legitimate models today. Unlike the rail thin androgynous models favored by the European designers, underwear designers prefer models with more substantial physiques like Francis and Ryan Daharsh for photographs and ad copy. On the other hand, many of the top legitimate models today like Kerry Degman, Arthur Sales, Tyler Lough & Travis Hanson have had to do what amounts to soft core porn ad campaigns featuring full nudity and are not being criticized or called out for it. I agree that most of the Greg Homme underwear designs are tacky but a model does not have any input on what to wear in shoots. Francis does looks great in the more conventional boxer shorts and I believe he will be put to better use by another more conventional designer in the near future.
